Seriously guys,
Giving Static Charge to TLM's would make them better!
Just add a bunch of Strenght into it and you'll regen 30+ every 2 turns.
More then you'll regen by Reroute in 3 turns.
Taking out SC from Cyber Hunters will be the biggest nerf to them and make the class a piece of crap as it doesn't worth paying varium nor credits for a change if you won't be able to use SC which focuses on spamming all of those high damage skills.

u mean every third turn.
and even tho static can get 20-30 energy in 1 hit, tech mage is still the best energy regainer.
and remember static can be blocked

Yep, typo, sorry.
Anyway, I find it more effective.
And it works perfectly with my build even if it gets blocked as I still have a backup plan, and an backup booster.
However TM's is purerly on build, in order to make it work it's best you'll probably have a lot of HP and around 21-26 tops defense and resistance.
If it's lower then you die too often. If it's higher, it means more damage absortion meaning, less Energy.
And that doesn't happen on Cyber Hunters,
the only stat it depends on is Strenght.
Mages these days are pretty rare, so I can't really have a good comparation.
The best I got was againts Imperial Savage, which I easily won.

last time i was CH i was getting 22 energy with max static

also a mix of reroute and assimilation for mage = best energy regain

No offense to Imperial Savage but you can't just compare the Mage class to one battle against him.

I get 24-28.
By that I should have atleast 5 Energy less then I do, but I gotta have if my backup fails.
So, the thing about CH's is that if it is relying on those high damaging skills it has to have a high Energy Pool, atleast 71+ Energy if you're going to have a decent high damaging skills build ( Multi-Mass, Max-Mass, etc. ).

Reroute & Assimilation, well, since I got those 5 points extra, an Assimilation doesn't do much on me. Don't know for others, when I was a STR BH it was killer.

EDIT: I battled Imperial Savage atleast 10 times since I changed to CH's. Must be destiny xD

@Speedy, Well you're being very critical when you say everyone left. I stayed with TM throught the worst of the OP build catastrophes.

Of course not because that would be a ridiculous accusation. I do like the possible CH buff that's coming it adds something good to the class that will make it able to compete in every single battle.

Well it's not Diamond Blades but it's really good:) However they still have to determine whether it would be too powerful for the class. I don't know if it's public information yet.

Diamond Blades would be too powerfull unless it gets scaled as Deadly Aim, then It'll be enough. I'd probably just have it around 5-7.

5-7 is way too much for a class that has str attacks and can just spam strikes.

i would say 3-5 5 at the most. and at max.

plus its not like CH really needs a buff anyway.
when i played i was getting about 93% and 40 wins an hour average.
idk about others.

maybe if its half or 1/3 of what DA is. because dont forget strikes have no cooldown.

even then it would still require alot of testing. and diomand blades would only apply to strikes. not the other skills like cheapshot, static or mass.

Exactly. Let's say they put it at 23% and enable it to work with Massacre. Imagine that. 163% more damage.

the % at max should be from 10%-14%

i cant say 9 because then it would be 0% for first point

Totaly.
10% or 34 is 3,4. Rounding it up on 3. Perfect. 37 base damage, adding you you got 16-20 you'd be doing 53-57 damage.

It's been pretty much tested beyond all extents and Diamond Blades is one of those skills you can't balance. Either it sucks or it's broken. The reason is because it improves an attack that can be used every single turn.

If Ch's were ever to get an ability like that, they would have to lose either static charge or shadow arts. otherwise, they would be as bad or ever worse than tactical merc.

if u put a requirement on it like heavy tech or support that goes up to like 40-50. and u make it 1/3 of what DA is. it balances out along with DA.
idk what the % was back then. but im sure 10% is considerable.

they would replace diamond blades with SA.

also DB wouldn't work with skills like cheapshot, static, venom strike, or massacre.

DB wouldn't need to stack with all those skills because Smoke and Malf are present in both Hunter trees. 10% for 34 weapon damage is an extra 4 damage every turn(after rounding) plus the increased damage from using Malf/Smoke. Requirements don't fix balance problems, they're only there to prevent lower levels from abusing them. Assuming a battle only lasts 4-5 turns, a Max DB would give you 16-20 extra damage in a battle.
