Do you think the Delta Package Promo is Worth it?

I've been thinking over and over about this. I'm a player that have played in all the other AE games and made purchases in some, but after taking time reading through some of the posts here in ED General Discussion, I am really having hesitation as to whether this 10k Varium Package that includes the delta weapons really worth the money spend, and I would like to hear some discussions in regarding to it, its pros vs its cons etc...

So please discuss :)

 Worth it? What makes something worth it? Your question is a fallacy in of itself because we're not give a context nor given a definitive and universal idea of "worth it"

It's your call to give a relative term weight.

But if you value an opinion, I think the value is fair. However, be warned as my opinion is not the sum of it's true value.

Well, if you play with, usually, physical primaries, or if you have very good energy gear, then yes, they are worth the 50$.

what I'm looking for is opinions from people, as to whether they believe its worth it or not, but of course ultimately the decision is mines to make. However I would like to know what other's thoughts are about this package, as others may have bought this package and can give a better feedback in regards to it

i see inexperienced players and experienced players getting 80%-90% these days.

the same could be said for str BH back in the day (and still to this day) yet people never complained about str BH like they did with str tlm. maybe because of the fact that it was BH....

Don't be picky about the numbers. The focus is on TLMs being OPed. It is difficult to argue with someone who has rather lopsided views so, whatever you say, I will nod my head and let you feel good about yourself. You don't actually take a good look at yourself, do you? You flame the devs as if they were your personal slaves, doubt their ability and here you are, doing the same to other forum members.

I don't want to argue anymore, its wasting my time, because either way, you will insist that you are right. I'm not forcing you to change your views, so you need not reply to me.

I wish I could get back into the old ED forum so I could show you how long ago they started complaining about STR BH, I would know.

In Delta, the TlM is far and away the biggest abuse class so you get the most complaints about it and not the other classes. There are by far more TlM then any other class playing now and they mostly share the same common build type. That will cause players to point them out more often. That's all this is, players who are frustrated pointing out that STR TlM are the current abusers.

u dont have to like my opinion but dont hate on it either.
IMO TLM isn't OP as everyone claims it is. do people copy too many builds for that class? yes they do.
are there too many of them out there. yes there are.
but they are certainly not Op like everyone freaks out about.

have u watched turkish's video of him using the so called UP mage class (thats also getting a buff because its apparently to "UP") beating several "OP" TLMs with a tech mage build? ohh and its high % BTW.

i have tried BH and cyber hunter over the last week.
and with cyber hunter i got 92%-94%. surprisingly however most of my losses didn't come from tlms.
they came from BH and other tech mages.

the same goes for BH. most of my losses aren't from tlms, but from other classes like BH cyber hunter or tech mage.
today i fought 2 huge defense tank TLMs. (both with 96 dex) they both had tesla armor, energy eggzoka, kurs elite. one had delta maul and the other had harvest reaper. one with 95 hp. the other with 121. yet i still manage to beat both of them, one match with around 60 hp to spare. and the other with 80 hp.

people did complain about str BH. i was one of them. but they never complained about it like they did with the merc classes. both str merc and str tlm were always complained on more than str BH. yet its str bh that has always been 90%+
str merc got a nerf. str tlm will get a nerf. str BH will continue to live like it has. and people will still complain about other classes.

I assume you mean "worth it" in the context of whether or not it is worth spending 50$ on. if so, i would have to say no. the delta items really arn't that great due to poorly placed stat points. and the fact that they are no longer sellable detracts further from their appeal.

There you go. Explaining things in a nicer tone really makes a difference.

While what you have said is mostly correct, you didnt mention anything about bloodmages. I lose games because I have a limited energy supply and have no proper debuff, besides intimidate with is relatively useless, considering I will still get smoked/malfed.

intimidate is more usefull than u think, it does a regular strike while applying a debuff (which cant be blocked)
and u have an energy regain thru reflex boost which also boost ur dex.

Yes, the way in which you write determines your tone.

And, using reflex boost will cost me one turn, and factoring in the energy cost, i will only stand to gain about 10-20 energy at max.

considering the boost u already get for dex. and the energy regain 10-20 energy makes up for using the skill in the first place.
altho ill agree that BM needs a small buff. the HELO idea by hun king (with 30% at max) is outrages.

ONTOPIC:
the delta packages is only worth it once. because u cant sell them back after u bought them

 ^Yea i know why should Bloodlust get an extra 7% increase then before? if BM gets it than why shouldn't CH? He claims that CH would ruin it which is bs, we're not the ones that have intim, deadlyaim, and zerker.
But the Delta pack isn't worth it if you had already bought it, i found this out the hard way already T_T.

well a good buff to BM would be to buff berserker.
the skill wasn't OP back when it was higher %.
and it wouldn't be OP now.
the energy requirement on it is pretty big if u want good damage. even then its still blockable unlike massacre.

buffing berserker would buff BM and merc. (both at the bottom of the class list)

 dont get it it aint worth it even the 10k var arent worth it cz all the weapons get outdated erry fast and since the delta weapons promo is about to end that means the delta weapons are getting outdated too just like what happened with all the other promoz -.-

Pros

  • Get better looking

  • Have best weapons in game currently allowing you to get ahead of your fellow duelists

  • You always have a sword or one other primary to choose from no matter your class

  • Immediately enhance all your gear, and once delta is out of date you have 4 weapons to sell which should get you the new best weapon

  • Be able to brainwash, token boost, and xp boost

  • Be able to start your very own faction, change class, and name



Cons

  • You lose 50 Dollars

  • Only get physical primaries

  • Weapons can not be used till high level

  • Half your varium goes away if you want to be enhance your gear

  • Weapons often do get outdated

  • You get called noob by non-varium players

ANother disadvanatge is it has alot of expansive incurred costst such as enhacments and inventory youll proberly need to buy to have enougb space for everything, it really does add up and youl find ur varium didmishing quickly.




If you wanna be careful with you spending I recomend waiting until christmas to see if they release another promo to be stacked with delta then you may be able to get 2 promos is one.


Also I totally agree with jykell about that discussion.

i would buy it if u really want to play the game the easy way. playing as a non varium is hard but fun imho. also i would buy if the made a promo like frostbane i always like killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

is it a high possibility that something new will be added to the promo for this x-mas season? if so I wouldn't mind waiting a bit to buy two large packs of these promos as seeing it will benefit me in the long run but as other have mentioned, with enhancements etc...it won't last so I'm thinking more a long the line of credit enhancing the weaps, that way I won't need to spend my variums from the package right?

playing as non-var is fun, i agree but at some point in the game, I sometimes get so frustrated when some nooby player with var calls me noob just b/c they have varium gears and a copied class build. My win ratio for my build is extremely low vs against vars but does okay against regular non-vars, which ultimately lead me to decide to buy promos to get better

 One of the most difficult parts of Gamma was the promo after promo. Because of the exclusiveness of the item, the in-game price was nearly double or not available. This phase of the game, I am most thrilled about the lack of promos.

Personally I hope they never add additional promos. The weapons are free, and you still get 10k credits with 10 varium.

Because of the promos of Gamma, I have not purchased any Varium in Delta. I had so much saved, and now I can finally use them.

Using the analogy, is the grass greener on the other side; this will ultimately hinder is making good decisions. Tomorrow will always have something better then today, but today your waiting for tomorrow. When tomorrow arrives, will you wait for another tomorrow.

This is a game, and your number one priority is to have fun.
