 How exactly does the AI work? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

For ex.
I've noticed that facing certain NPC's, no matter what turn I go, they perform different actions. For example, sometimes, when I face off against the Artic Guard, he uses DM, but ocassionally he uses Energy Shield, even when using the same weps.

Does this mean there is an RNG to the NPCs (besides crits and blocks)?

What do you forumites think?

yeah it must make a roll on what skill they will use next from a predetermined list, plus various other parameters like your def/res

I think the team just puts in possible scenarios for the AI to react to.
For example, say you have a physical primary and X or more strength, the AI will apply Defense matrix.
