Thanks, I know, I make a lot of grammatical errors. Not quite perfect in English yet! :)

@rej- the issue for me isn't that the characters give me a bloc, ask Nightwraith how much backstory I turn in any given storyline, but successfully integrating it into quest lines. AQW has the advantage of a whole staff of animators- this really is one of those times where a small staff is a pertinent reason for needing workarounds.

Nightwraith likes to say that he'll ask for a handful of quests and I'll turn in 10 pages of backstory that has to be condensed into "bring me back 10 Yeti feets"

Part of the reason the first time I helmed an entire story featured all new characters is because I didn't create these characters, and I needed to get used to writing with characters I knew intimately, and I was honestly happier that the Legion won in Frysteland from a storyline perspective, because it's just more interesting. If the Exiles won, you probably wouldn't have learned what you did about Edgar Boothe's past.

Wootz- I've read them. I find that not commenting on fanfiction is a wise choice on my end since we're going to have different interpretations of the story and different ideas about where it should go, and since I am the writer, saying something sounds out of character or goes against character history sounds like I'm saying you're "wrong".

Besides, isn't this thread supposed to be about my writing? :P (I kid I kid)

Thanks for reading! :)
Well, here was my idea:
if we are currenly in 2012 both in real life and in-game, why not set the story about 100 or more years after.
I did write 2143 after all in one note.

So it actually opens a huge hole in the history which would last for over a hundred years!

@Midnight BT is gone all story is now Cindy.

@Cindy I would say that is a wise call because our stories do tend to be a bit weird. At one point, and maybe even now I don't remember, I had Caden training OWA but Caden would have already betrayed the Exile by that point because we come along after The Uprising which is where Caden betrayed the Oz if I understand BT's stories.

Also Cindy if you could point out any inaccuracies in my story I would be grateful because I'm working on a "Biography" of One Winged Angel the last F2P faction founder so I would like all my facts to agree with the Dev's stories, both yours and BigTuna's.

Finally Thadduess or whatever his name is, I know I'm close to it, When will he show up I have noticed he has been in the story line for awhile now but he has yet to enter the spotlight unless he is the Exile Leader, which would make him a total boss just saying.

Ulysses is the coolest looking NPC if you ask me. I would like to see more of him, as well as this shady Exile Leader. After all, I thought that Oz was the exile leader. Speaking of Oz, that can not be his real name, can it?

Frysteland is pretty good for now, but what about the bio dome? What is its purpose, who made it, and what are bio hazards?

The Barren Waste is also pretty good for now, although more should be done with the Zedmyre. He is level 50, as high as exile leader. He needs some serious attention. Maybe he is an exile that gets bought for Legion and messes up a critical exile plan.

Caden is a pretty interesting fellow, and I would like for him to be in on some action in a future war. He could open up a portal to another dimension and release zombies, skeletins, spirits, or even demons onto Delta V forcing exile and legion to work together to stop him.

The West Naval Yard needs the most work done on it. Currently it has the least area to explore, as well as the least amount of NPCs. All we know is that ships might hang out. Maybe it could be the area where Baleous sends in his fleets of troops.

Fortune city is a great place for development. Both Exile Leader and Alydriah reside here. Who really owns it? Lets learn more about Talia. Is she as powerful as Caden? Whos side is she on? Hank and Habuki are great, but dont need much attention I think.

Alydriah is being developed at a perfect pace, as well as other Legion leaders. Exile leaders are few that we know lots about, so some energy should be put there. Baleous and Oz/Exile Leader need some serious developement. We know close to nothing about either and both are the leaders of the war!

The Overload facility should stay as it is for now in my opinion. Matrix (I forget how it is actually spelt but it is looks like matrix) is a very interesting peace that should not be implemented till the very end of the story. This could be a great twist, like maybe all the events were programmed or all of Delta V is just a program that is fake. Matrix could also be something that was created when Baleous Banished the exiles and both Legion and Exile need to work together to stop the Matrix before a black hole is created. The Overload Guard could the first of many of the Matrix's army to destroy both Exile and Legion. What ever way you do go with this, just make sure its not till the end because I feel that Matrix should be the climax of the conflict.

I would like to know more about the mysteriously magically rare varium!

Does the mine tower mine varium? Is varium the reason why Delta V is where all the action is? I think I read somewhere that varium infusions is what allows tech mages to do plasma bolts and lighting strikes, but I am not sure. How does varium allow you to buy weapons that otherwise could not be bought?

Otherwise, Cinderella has done great work with character biographies and I trust her to spice up each and every NPC on Delta V, time permitting. Right now war events would be great, as well as more information on the different areas of Delta V, as well as Delta V itself. Good Luck and keep on writing!

@Sunguardian Oz's real name is Lorenzo Ozimus
quote:

Certainly our players have seen the grizzled veteran skulking in the shadows of Central Station. Oz, the level 10 NPC who has the best win record in the game, is, in fact, EpicDuel's protagonist! I feel as though it would be wise to let our players in on some of Lorenzo Ozimus' trials to give you a glimpse of just who this hardened soldier truly is when you ask him to retrain you or sell you a new set of claws.

Anyway I just realized something Snork does not look like a Krumpus but he is still from native people of Delta V so will we ever learn about those people or is Snork a member of the Krumpus who really go from Harvesting Souls in the Fall to being jolly in the winter

Dear Mr. SunGuardian,
your questions are interesting and prove that there is much more to the world of Delta V than meets the eye. Of course, none of that information can be found within the context of the game. However, the forum's
OFFICIAL STORYLINE GUIDE contains the answer to every last one of those questions. Just select the link and read away, comrade! Personally, I believe that all of this beautiful background information needs to be somehow integrated into the game. Perhaps there are knowledgable informants scattered about Delta V who have information about different NPCs and locations. Perhaps you have the option to speak with characters, rather than just accept utilitarian functions. You could, for instance, ask Kraggor about Varium, or ask some of the Exiles soldiers about Oz. Perhaps certain characters might be created to provide information about history or the past. A true library or archive would probably have been demolished by Balius, but perhaps information remains in some more raw form. Perhaps there are a group of secret chroniclers about who preserve information about the history and residents of this planet. Perhaps they have lived here since life began to evolve upon this planet. Perhaps they recently arrived, but have dug through all remaining archives about the planet's history. The possibilities are endless, but as long as the excellent story that serves as (to me) the most essential part of any game or work, is integrated into the story, the game will be bettered by it.

@Cindy If you need any help on getting the feel for character behaviors I'd be glad to drop you a PM with my thoughts on them. It's not my finest talent but I do some for getting the feel of characters written by other writers.

@Question Mark?

Oh deer thats embarrassing. However, this does show that unless you really look for the story in the forums, most people have no idea about the story line. I like the idea of NPCs having the option to show information on the storyline.

@OWA- you can send me whatever you want. I don't comment or really do much with unrequested story ideas- I don't want to unintentionally plagiarize- but I'm interested to see different interpretations of the characters.

@theSunguardian- I'm glad you like how Alydriah is coming together as a character. It's been really fun figuring out how to write a character like her. Any writers will know that characters do what they want to do, regardless of what the writer wants, and I'm glad she's proven so interesting
