Tell me forum, are you going to be faithful to EpicDuel after Oversoul and AdventureQuest 3D have been released, or will you switch?

State your reasons and a letter of retirement if possible.

Its not bad or sneaky if you move on to these games, as they are also owned by Artix Entertainment. Discussing this would be fine, would the Archknights agree? As long as we truly incorporate EpicDuel as much as we can I would say.

This message is coming from me personally-

I have been playing this game for over 2 years now and a forum member for under a year. I really appreciated meeting all of you other players, as I saw how mature ALL of you were, even if there was banter and petty remarks. I met most of the COOLEST people from the forums, where I could easily commune with any of you very very proficiently. I truly enjoyed playing EpicDuel with the best of the variumites and of the creditors. I lived among you all through beta, and then gamma, and now delta. I experienced with you the bad and the good, the balance and imbalance. Hey are we married? Never mind. I had my moments of noobdom, and evolved as a player and person in one. I experienced the most major life changes during my play-time of EpicDuel. The fall, and the redemption.

Let me just say, I truly enjoy EpicDuel, and if we can work some of our player opinions into the engine, we could beautify our world a little more. When Oversoul and AQ3D release... I... will be... staying!

*disc scratch*

What? Did you expect me to write a sappy letter of departure? Really, forum, really? Heck no, every time I switch to a game, whether it be a beta version or a finished copy, I always lose in the end!!! If I start playing AQ3D, even if I'm the first person to sign up (which will be unlikely, obviously), I'll still finish way behind so many people! I don't have the time to compete! I'm not MLG! I'm a recreational player! I'm a lie! Sob sob sob... Wallet is hurting.

That is why I love EpicDuel. Here is my fantasy world in between time. I will stand guard and wave any of you who leave off. I appreciate once again, being able to greet you.

Your turn.

I think I'm going to play ED (even if just once a month) until I simply can't do it anymore. I feel it's become a part of me, and no game can take it's place.
In any case, I won't be playing any of the new AE games much as I've found a new love in Battlefield 3 and Halo Reach.

Epicduel has lost my interest since I suffered endless defeat by variums; although I heard the gap has been decreasing between both groups, I still feel Epicduel is not entertaining me as much as it used to. I do plan to move to Oversoul; see how it works out, but I will always be going back to Epicduel to see how things are progressing.

I've been playing EpicDuel since the first days of Beta, back when you could still get Elite and Founder. Before the time of AE. AE brought a lot of players tp ED and fo that I am glad. I've met many people since december 2008. ( or something like that, been way too long XD ) I never plan to stop playing ED and hopefully one day I will be recognized by the majority of the players. Even if that never happens I will enjoy my time well spent playing ED. As for the new games.. Not interested.

Constructive!

I'll be making an account with OverSoul, the concept looks good... I doubt I'll even bother with AQW3D as RPG styled MMO games bore me to tears. The EpicDuel concept was originally great, a PvP game for adults, now it is progressing down the lines of being another RPG as the focus of the game shifts towards a PvE environment. What I mean is the focus is on content with more mission, weapons, NPC's etc... and there has been relatively little development on features that involve PvP. What has been and is currently the worst issue is balance in the PvP environment in Epic Duel. I don't play Epic Duel as much since Delta testing phase killed the Mercenary class. If Oversoul can manage an environment that involves strategy and skill with a little luck then to I'm pretty sure I'll move towards that game.

I liked AQW when I played it but after awhile I made afew friends and then on the eve of December 5th, 2009 I left AQW for another game and that game is EpicDuel.

I will be trying oversoul because it looks very interesting but it still has those same childish AQW graphics which annoy or bother me(I'm not sure which it is yet). That problem may end up giving more time to EpicDuel then Oversoul but I will try very hard to be One Winged Angel on Oversoul if not I'll be Kas'Ryn because until I said that I don't know how many people would have thought of it

Meh, I thought in the same way when AQW came out. I still played AQ and DF and still do! I used to play AQW, and still do sometimes but it's not my type of game. That's why I found EpicDuel before merging with AE which was type of game I really like.
I will register for AQ3D but doubt it'll get me hooked as much as AQ, DF or ED. So I'm gonna definitely stay. :P

AQ3D Registration

Registering had been postponed WOW!

AQ3D looks like it recruited 3D modellers from Japan, hence the similarities to Dynasty Warriors.

Oversoul looks interesting, I hear players are recommending card games to be the choice of battle style.

Since I already play every game that AE released since '06 I'll play the others. Especially during testing stages. :3

As for Oversoul, of course I will stick with ED through that, since it is nothing but another nudist-based game. As for AQ3D, we shall see how good of a game it is vs. how poorly ED does in the next few months.

Um. No. Any modeler could do that. Don't use some stupid correlation to base your facts.

And this is a horrible question. People don't leave games for other games. People stay with their games, but not by much.

^ Are you OK?

EDIT: Just came home from work. Exhausted.

As of today, I have just seen a few pictures from the game-base (AQ3D). They were drawn in Japanese themed (anime/manga) styles, so I guessed that's how they were drawing.

I'm not in the mood for dousing flames so. It is a question nonetheless, and simply requests if you will or will not drop ED?

Epicduel has it's work cut out for it if it plans on competing.

They better come out with something that will entertain players much more than it currently is for sure. These new projects look amazing and I'm really looking forward to ending my ties to this nonsense.

For a game that is developed through player responses and suggestions, they sure have a funny way of only implementing the crappiest ones possible.

Where are the tournaments Titan mentioned around August of last year I believe it was? Group Chat?

Why are players with 2 bajillion dexterity getting blocked by players with 15 dexterity and 150 strength? 2 zillion support getting criticalled left and right?

2v2 ruined from battle fails because they don't know how to give the match a few more seconds to load to allow players with slower connections to load their characters in the matches.

1v1 ruined because first turn is too overwhelming and there is no player control over who goes first even though high support could clearly solve the issue while maintaining balance because the player who goes first in that situation will be dealing less damage than the one invested in the other stats considering it takes 7 points per 1% to critical.

Ally link mode? Why is this not a possibility? Again, Ally link mode...mode being the emphasis here so as to not ruin the current 2v2 mode.

Delays every week. The players told lies when bringing up valid questions.

Example: Why can't players sell their promo items during a promotion?

Mod: So that players can't have their items sold if scammed/hacked.

Anyone who can put 2 & 2 together: Then why are they able to be sold after the event when they are then at the most risk of not being able to obtain the item ever again?

What more do players have to do on here to express how damaging the current system is to this game?

Epicduel is poorly run and it saddens me every time I go to play it because it could be so much more...

Really looking forward to Nulgath's Oversoul project. Use to love pokemon growing up and played Magic all the time so should be great! They also mentioned that game to be for a mature audience as well as AQ3D and by looking at some of his other projects, that me be quite entertaining.

I have been looking forward to AQ3D since the beginning but I have not heard of Oversoul till now. Both look fun and I will definately try both games out, however, as many others have said there is just something about Epic Duel that keeps pulling me back (I won't say addiction). Plus, I have spent so much time and money on Epic Duel I do not want it to go to a waste.

@sung,

I think its addiction. Many have gone through withdrawal.

@Depressed Void (intersting name)

You are most definately correct. I just do not like saying it is an addiction because there are lots of negative ties to that word and I do not think the addiction I have is bad as long as I keep up my real life and do not fall behind. I have had withdrawel a few times myself.

Nub does have a point in that there need to be some serious improvements or this game will be a thing of the past. I'd be the first to congratulate the team on a job well done, but there are some large holes in the game that need to be fixed soon. However, ED will still have the same small portion of devoted players willing to pay.

Will ED continue to exist and still be a source of mindless fun? Yes.
Are there things that need to be fixed soon? Absolutely.
Will I keep playing if those things are changed? Maybe. Hard to tell at this point.

I will stick with EpicDuel because I don't have enough time to even play ED. Having to level up again in another game would be a pain.

Always more games out there. Don't let that stop you. You take your chances when choosing to invest in internet gaming and most are scams, very poorly ran games, or just very unsecure and vulnerable to cheaters with nothing being done. Any of that sound familiar? At some point ya need to step back and think about that.

Should I keep investing in crap and not have nearly as much fun than if i were to choose to invest in something else and move on from here or should I just keep playing this, be bored and unhappy all because i've already paid so much for it?

Never too late. Epicduel won't think anything is wrong until they start seeing that money stop rolling in. Apparently everythings fine and dandy in their eyes. Especially when all the 12 year olds are so happy with the progress as apparent in these forums. "Oh we got a weapon again thanks ED :D" That's not progress...

Also, they may believe everythings great in their fantasy world because of the increase in players lately. These players are fairly new and haven't learned how ED does things. More than likely, these players are AQW players who think this game is ran as smoothly as that one but PvP style. Boy will they find out differently.

Do you forum goers truly believe that ED at this point will survive the release of these newer Artix releases along with other gaming releases all over the internet? This game is worse than it's original release over two years ago. Sure there is way more to do but functionality wise, not nearly what it was or those of us from those days thought it would become.

Most will buy a pack or something and find out oh hey I don't actually like this game afterall. This is how they are currently surviving. Put on a front, get many original purchases, and pick up a whale here and there. Wonder how long those whales will stick around when they continue to ignore fixing so many issues? At this point this isn't mearly reflecting bad on Epicduel but on Artix Entertainment as a whole. I think Artix needs to step in and light some fire under Titan, Rabblefroth, and Nightwraiths behinds.

What has actually been released lately? Mission!?!? Weapons!?!?!? Wheres the features? New modes? More individuality in the whole PvP aspect with new skills or control over these luck factors that are ruining PvP play?

Yeah keep releasing boring missions and fund the nonsense releases with new weapons that players will spend varium on to buy then more varium to enhance. Yeah that's progress...Now pick apart my post for as long as it remains and try becoming a Mod or AK. Lol another part of this communities problem, why fight for real progress right?
