I have an idea that can reduce luck vs luck. I think same classes should fight each other or atleast those fights should be rare. Why? because as you all know almost all TMs use Dex-Super charge build and almost all BMs use Str-firebolt-berserker and all CHs use massacre build and All TLMs use Poison or Str build so when these classes fight each other its more like who start wins or who lucky wins. Thats why i think same class fights should be rare or none.

This also reduce build copying. For example a TM will not face another TM so he/she cant see the better TM build.

This can also stop Faction mate battles if a faction all be same class they will not fight each other.

lol i know exatly what ur wanting and to be honest i support this. its about beta caster mage right? :) so it actualy has time to rule ed.

its better than what we have today.
so i agree.

in the "massacre game" whoever goes first wins. unless u have extreme luck on ur side. like double blocks.
super charge counts towards this massacre game aswell.

oh hey gold can i add u on ed? been trying to find u all day xD and yea it is better than the other oped builds becuase caster beta mage has many weaknesses.

Actually, the system should make it in such a way that theres no way to see some1 else's build outside a battle, if u get what i mean.

There is no need to see other players build outside of battle so that can also be removed

The main point of this idea is, a SC TM and another SC TM face each other like 5 times. 1 of them win 2 other one win 3 times. They both decrease each others ratio, Which is ridiculous cause its who starts win or Luck vs Luck.

So now we can barely battle people of the class. And when we do we can't see their build? Besides this will not help newbies. No thx.

did u even read? it says to not be able to view someone's build outside of battle.
u can still see it in battle.

and this sort of puts a stop to the massacre game, where whoever goes first wins.

Not being able to look at someone's build outside battle is just inconvenient.

Not fighting your own class? Imo, an ill-conceived idea.

No matter what you try to stop build copying, people will still share builds. The same goes with luck. You will have your good streaks and your crappy streaks. You can make max chance to do anything 1% and the minimum 0% and there would still be times where you get blocked 3 times in a row. It's luck, deal with it.

I got a better idea, stop playing the game because clearly it has become to much for your feeble minds to handle.




just kidding ^^ I wanna fight whoever the game throws at me, so I don't support that idea, as for the "everyone uses this build for this class"
crap, I don't see it at all so I don't believe it at all. only the most powerful build/class combo gets copied enmasse in my eyes. BM is victim to
some copying but that's because their alternate builds are so unreliable, nothing more. creativity is flourishing, all we need now is for those
scrub players who always change to the OP setup, to leave the game and never return and for the ED balance team to do their job properly.

[and luck elements to be revised based on the additional stats now available to full vars]

If you could modify the Code for the Balance Tracker and turn it into something so that a SC Mage cannot fight another SC mage that would be better because some people just make out there builds to try and counter and if you cannot fight like a Tank Merc vs an STR merc(I think Merc is the only class that can Tank or STR spam without real thought anymore) then you cannot really gauge the effectiveness of your counter build

Only way to reduce luck is by making every luck factor player controllable with 0% minimums. Some reason I keep getting countered with,

"Well with 0% minimums means players with a very high dex build will block every time!!!"

Nope not at all actually because that's not a minimum. Current maximum on block is 40% without SA and could stay there. Players should not be allowed to get away with spamming certain areas and reap the benefits of all the others as well thanks to the minimum percentages.

Also a very important thing should be something that decides who goes first period! Not some random percentage of going first.

Wow this is extremely simple question.


Reduce the effectiveness of all power builds (by perhaps reducing total amount of stats via changing enhancements.)


WHY??

You will notcie basically all copy builds are Power builds and its not liked they were copied, they are just players thinking of the best possible way to get the most power out of each attak and become an effective power build, this mens other players have to go power builds awel because they connot beat them without joining them so its not as if they copied them intentonaly... most players just want to be able to beat them...


And Luck,

Luck wasnt nearly as bad when being a powerbuild was the only sucseful strategy.

WHY??
Because power builds reily on constant damage on there opponenet and also a non powerbuilds reiles on constant damage to beat a powerbuild.
So something like block is extremely game changing now because turns in general cant be afforded to be interupted, its also why many stretagies hae been destroyed because build these days dont even alow you to sheild without it being the wort decesion ever...
Luck may seem against you, but nowdays because of the powerbuilds and the need to use powerbuilds to beat them even the slightest amount of luck can change the outcome.
Were as pre enhaments you could have teriable luck but a great stergy and still win. Now there is no such thing as stergy unless its slicing your opponeent in half before they get a chance to move.

The problem with this idea is as follows: typically there is an "OPed" class. The number of players using that class is high. The main counter to players using the "OPed" class is playing others with the same class and a similar build. Removing that counter would only further encourage players to bandwagon onto that same class.
