Take this scenario:

Player A: Hey, how've you been.
You: *Pleasantly surprised* Fine, thanks.
Player A: Btw...
You: Yea?
Player A: FAME ME FAME ME FAME ME!

Don't you just want to throttle the Famer?

I found a very simple solution to this:

Hide the count of Fames a person has.

This solves the problem of Fame Trading.

Do you guys hate fame?

Do you want people spamming F4F in your face all day?

Do you want to stop it?

What is your idea?

Put the fame arow next to a carters health and if u get famed it tells ya

I would rather have a system that allows you to see players or not. It would help alot by reducing lag and people asking for you to fame. Maybe adding also that allows you to see only your friends while disabling other players at the same time.

Hmm. What about locking the fame function from all rooms, except a specially separate one for people to go in to fame?

I.E. Major Winknose wants to fame Ms. Juicer. He has to enter the designated Fame Room, opens her Character Page in it, and fame her instead of opening it wherever he wants.

This may not actually solve trading Fames, but at least a whole lot of us wouldn't be bothered by those who Fame.

I still like the idea implemented by people when fame came out:
'Why don't we tell everyone to do what it was meant for, faming people you think deserve fame, people who ask for it instantly lose 1 fame'
I think that idea stops quite a few people.

But how do they define "asking for fame"?

It can't be monitored 24/7.

Simple thing is this. Create a repeatable quest feature from NPC's for the player to get fames and at the same time, disables the fame arrow in character pages. In that way, every player can compete for fame other than asking for it.

But Fame is supposed to be a deserved feature, not a farm.

Past idea:

However, if you are on the Top Three, you get to claim +45 Fame per day!

No other methods of fame-gain.

When I go to Oz and get asked. I tell them I only do it in battle EXCEPT if they are trying for the daily fame or close to an achievement, then I will.
A lot of people also say "No thanks"

These are more options for you.

a reduce fame button would be perfect :) they would soon stop spamming when they got more down votes than up.

if someone is legitimately famous, they will still receive lots of fame. but if they aren't famous and all they do is spam everyone then
they will end up in the minus, or at least with a reduced rate of fame. the downside is people would spam to defame certain people.

but at least it would make it a bit more competitive rather than a one sided circle jerk that it is now.

Oz is the social spot. It used to be until F4F came out, anyways.

And I already say no. In fact, I say "NEVA". ;D

@Fay Beeee: when I say no they usually say they are going for the daily fame :)

I get so much abuse for saying no, but if they aren't willing to accept my answer then why do they ask me.
if it's a 34 Varium player they usually call me noob if they win too, all because I didn't wanna click an arrow at their command.

there needs to be a button
where you can ignore your
oppents chat in battle , would help a lot

I support DEFAME button :) let's chop these spammers down to size. I would use the feature so much more than fame, that's for sure.

Guys give them a bit of a break. Some are trying for the achievement. May be if you just said " No thanks" instead of jut "No" then if they persist (out of battle) use the chat block. :)

Fame cannot be obtained via players, instead, players must achieve notable feets. For instance, winning a daily, placement on the all-time, buying the promotional package. All of these choices must somehow improve the experience and success of EpicDuel. These feets of glory improve fame in varying degrees. Begging and asking and candidating for fame will no longer be needed, as fame is earned the legit way.

 Fay bee oh lovely bee i remember being level 29 and my level 34 partner tells me "fame me or i leave battle" i dont want to reveal names here but yeah this game has a few of those.
Another category are. Fame for fame i say NO. He says you got 110 fame now fame me back. I page NO. he is like &%¥&%.
Last category fame me NO. please please please please please for the next 2 minutes. Then he says everyone report rui and i will leave. lmao
so yeah Fay bee unless you 2on2 you wouldnt understand our plight.
