@Rui.: he wasn't really trying to get a refund. he was trying to express how he feels about your idea.
there is no chance of anyone getting a refund. neither is there a chance of this idea actually making it into the game.

 Those selection of items, many of them, are the most elite in regard to exclusiveness. Broken items should be a nice balance of different in-game items as a fun addition to pvp. Anything beyond that, it would upset the balance of phase rares and package promos.

What a great idea!! And how about having rare cheevos be dropped too? I mean honsetly who wouldn't want an Alpha and Elite cheevo when they missed it by oh so many years!?

 i see so many posts here being very sarcastic :) its fun to read.
But look at the bigger picture. The one items that any level 34 can be proud to own during delta phase is the frost armour. Its the only special effect armour available which has saved my arse countless times from getting massacared or bunked. But if i won a fight against a player only because he didnt start the game during the phase of this armour being sold its kinda sad, for this reduces from a game of skill to a game of who has better items.

Secondly this beats the purpose of broken items why
reason 1. Rusted items were added to help low levels save credits to buy better end game items.
Reason2. Anyone who spends varium will buy the best money can buy will anyone repair an overload maul or crab claws ? Especially when there is encuberance where a level 30 can equip 34 items.
Reason3. Its a win win deal many people will buy rare items and will be satisfied for having items that were released in the past. Thus getting a bigger player base

and Zaanu lets not talk about balance if an item causes balance issue its taken off or fixed by the balance team we all know founder items were nerfed.

Any player with skill will expect challenging battles rather than dump the idea of fair play for those who support the game at later stages.

 Rui, I was not speaking of competitive balance, but of community balance in regard to exclusives. When exclusive items are created for either being limited, package purchase or promo purchase, having it bypass those standards to be added as a drop, it looses that exclusiveness as an incentive for purchase.

Since these are past items, and will likely be never available, or at least seasonally, they could be available. Another option of new cap item weapons only available as broken drops. Having them as drop exclusives where they can't be purchased, and only available by drop (like hover bike and bio hazard husk) it would be a fun project to achieve.

Rui u obviously dont understand how rares work in ED so let me explain to u. Founders got awarded with beta items and founder armor cuz they supported the game during its merge with artix entertainment. That armor and gear is exclusive and sumbolizes the gratitude for being loyal. Same can be said about gamma bot and gamma bike for gamma players. If these items were to be allowed to become a drop then the entire concept of rare items wud be eraced from ED. Then there wouldnt even be an all time inv rarity leaderboard. and jzaanu wasnt talking about balance in battles but balance among different phase supporters. U did not play this game in Beta or gamma so why should u have betta or gamma exclusive items. what ur asking for is unfair to the people who did support game during those phases.

 Rui bases his ideas on the fact that the more money you shell out, the more rewards your expected to receive. Unfortunately, such is not the case. All I have seen throughout this thread are pointless arguments from Rui, extreme QQ'ing, and well balanced, rational posts from the community.

Think of it as a free gift, maybe the devs should take away broken items alltogether because of your selfish behavior.

 Hyperlord if you think logical discussion is pointless argument then sorry i cant and wont try to change your thoughts cause everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now lets get back to the part where you feel broken items are free. Firstly nothing is free. We have to invest time and have to win battles to obtain then.Secondly if the purpose of broken items is to reward players with 1k credits then its better to remove this system and let emeralds be permanent.Thirdly dark varium blaster was a limited rare the stock didnt last even 5 hours. Is it logical that this rare is part of broken items?This is a game thats purely pvp based unlike anyother game in the market. Win and loss at the moment is based on 20% skill and 80%items the figures are my assumption based on my 10k wins.
.And hey Zaanu i get your point now but since this is a pure pvp game it would make sense to have all items in a broken form maybe at a "rare drop rate" like the dark varium blaster to keep the rare essence to it.
Ps:hyperlord if your intent was to get this post locked this its sad. Would have liked if you could add value or post that same opinion in a polished way thanks.

@Rui: previously the arcade was the way to get extra credits, but now it's from drops. your enemy is unlikely to be dropping credits or emeralds but they
could realistically be dropping old weapons they hoarded. so to those who can use the weapons, they save some varium AND credits and to those who
won't or can't use the item, they get to sell it. 2 birds with one stone. everyone else in the community loves getting free drops even if it is just sold on.

and we get to save all our battletokens for flag captures and achievements.

Just to add Dark Varium Blaster is a ' Limited Quantity ' Item. They will be restocked on a weekly/Monthly base unless they decide it's time to remove it.

What you are asking ( imo Demanding ) is for FULL Rares to be added as drops.
There is a massive difference between a Ingame Limited Quantity item and a Promo item.

 "Rare drop rate" to keep items rare as they should? Right.
Prove me how Alpha, Founder, Beta, Gamma, Delta items have right to come back as a 'rare drop' for free - need just time, while we have to pay real money to get them. Real money = time; surely someone has to spend their time to work and then get the pay, it doesn't come from nowhere so if you're a kid then it's your parents.
And if you can prove how Limited Time Rares have right to be back as a drops for free then I'll give you a cookie. Dark Varium Blaster? I think it was only one of a kind that is a drop, or maybe was as it might've been a bug.

To summarise - you want rare items as you're greedy and didn't have money back then so deserve it for free, and current items won't suffice? Broken Weapons + Rusted are to help lower Lvls (Rusted) and Broken can be repaired for lower cost; would you spend 14K Credits and 1K Varium on a weapon or maybe get it as a drop and repair for 800 Varium, thus saving 200 Varium and 14K Credits? If you have no use to weapons, you can sell them for Credits as it was their main purpose - to help players and to help us get Credits easier.

trans i cant prove how its fair to get rare for "free" but come sit with me someday and i will prove how its fair when we are willing to pay the right price to repair broken items. And you owe me an oreo now. Ps: I started earning 12 years back :) i play this game to relieve me from my stress and occatinally cussing noobs. :) nothing thrills me than a good fight may it be half life or fighting some awesome players like properto reloaded, trucho wreker, manthong :) , primal assasin,archlord, sid and a few more who's names are not on top of my head. So yeah dont call me selfish :)

Unfortunately, life isn't like this. You can't expect to shell out cash for privileges that others have had before. You cannot simply pay off the devs just to get whatever you want. You don't pay to cut in front of the line, you don't pay to become president, you don't pay to get your job. Unfortunately, such is the status of "Rare" items. If you want super rare items, go play AQW, then you'll get it. But not here.

Yeah I agree with ya'll, putting permarare stuff in pvp drop would be stupid. Especially when the things you can get now are better than those things were damage and statwise.

I personnally think that the drops are fine as they are. I won a broken 'dark varium blaster' and a broken 'machine blaster' since the drops have started. This is as good as it gets for a non rare weapon.

Rares should not be drop as thier meanings goes for beyong statistics.

If these weapons are not good enough for ya, why not suggest they add items ONLY available thru Broken-Repair, instead of old, cherished, never available again Rares?

 Rares are not always meant for battle/deign. They're a status symbol, designated to those who have supported/played the game at earlier stages. What you are asking is completely unfair for those who have the rares you are asking for. The phase the rares symbolized has passed, and you can't turn back time. I remember a post from here before: Money = Time, but Time does not equal money. In other words, you spend time to earn money, but you can't spend money to earn time(unless you have an affliction like cancer). Please understand and accept that other's have rights, and where your rights end, someone else's rights begin.

I hope I have cleared this up. Hope you wake up refreshed and with an open mind. Peace.

 been reading comments and it seems anyone who owns a beta item or founder feels they are uber special and needs to be treated with a cookie every now and then. Apart from complain none of you have added any value to this thread, the broken item feature or the betterment of this thread.
Read my post again, the purpose of this thread is to get input from 30+ players on what additional meaningful broken items should be added to actually make the broken item feature worth all that programming time.

If you cant add value to make this feature work dont ... you know what :)

to the poster above, lol a rather use the frost destroyer and pawn someone who uses a frostbane as status symbol, while laughing over his dead body.

Any rares, especially permanent or ones from packages will not be added to PvP drops ever. We paid money for them, why should you get it for free and on top of it, a perma-rare item. Permanent is there for a reason, and I believe I'm repeating myself 3rd time about it.

they have stated clearly that beta items were acquired in beta phase, Gamma bot in gamma phase and so on.

we are now in delta phase, is it so hard to understand?

then they explained the rares system, yet again you do not listen.

Do not drop rares.

Rares = limited

Limited = temporary

Temporary ≠ forever

Rares are not forever items. Simple?

That's funny. I know you have the frost destroyer, frost reaper armor and the wraith gun and bazooka and you want other players to have those rares? Sure, that means everyone is harder to beat and you're making other players stronger who might in turn, kill your own build through your own suggestion.
