Locking this up for multiple reasons, firstly, this is just turning in to reasons why this should not happen, secondly, it's clear this suggestion isn't supported, and thirdly this is a suggestion, not a discussion, and the discussion about the suggestion is not turning out so well.
Let me explain a few things. Founder and other Permanent Rares will never ever be coming back, as rusty, broken or anything. When Founders received Founder Armour, when Alpha participators received Alpha weapons, they were promised that there would never ever be a chance to get those again, and we are not breaking that promise. Furthermore, Beta weapons were for Beta, people in Beta, again were promised it them never to come out again, Gamma Bot and bike the same. All Seasonal-Rares and Limited-Quantity rares will not be changing, they will stay as they are and will certainly not be released as drops.
What needs to be understood is that these labels mean something, people who buy these weapons buy them knowing that there is only a limited quantity, they will never come out again, or they will only be out for that part of the year. The label of rare, seasonal rare etc. promises that, and we are not breaking that promise, that trust between players and us.
The idea of seasonal PvP drops is interesting, phase PvP drops etc. all interesting ideas that could be considered, and as we started with Emeralds, we will certainly consider the possibilities with this new system. But we will not be going overboard and do what is suggested in this topic, because as voiced by quite a few people, it wouldn't be fair. Now you may argue that it would be fair, but if you were promised that your item would be limited, that your item won't come out again, if we broke that promise, now that would be unfair, now we're doing the opposite of that, which is keeping that promise completely, which I think means you also flip over the unfair, so us doing as we are, is fair.
If players miss rares, then tough, that's a fact that can't be changed, no matter how awesome it looks, or how strong it is. Let's be honest though, on the horizon there are plenty more to come, plenty more seasons for Seasonal-Rares to be released in etc. and in that respect every player has an equal chance to stock up on rares, seasonal-rares, and any other rares. If you missed some, then that's a shame, better luck next time, but we are not going back on the promises we make to our players that we really appreciate and value the support they give.
