Let me share with you a story. This was just before power hour was ending, in my mind i was psyched for the last minute opportunity moment for a win. there was about 2 minutes left in the power hour, then my partner fell by the blades of my foe. I knew the odds of the battle went in favor, as i was pondering this i looked at the CH on the other team. He had about 40 more exp. to go until level 31, i mentioned it to him, but he seemed discourage because he had a feeling this fight would be over by the time power hour was over as well. i had two options either drag the fight on and lose or make it easy for this guy and prob makes his day by throwing the match. I made the choice of disconnecting from the server thus giving that guy a win.

Just imagine the did small things like this, i mean not all the time but where credit is do. As the Slogan goes, 'Do a good turn daily.' And i hope that people will continue to do the same if it ever happened to me.

So the topic i want to discuss is what you have done to help someone out, or at least making their time playing the game better.

Well, not every one is lucky to have u as an opponent.... I normally get hard core opponents and even if i get easy ones, they just don't know when to give up... they keep on boosting, most of them are clue less of what they are doing!!

Ya, so i think one way you could be telling to have a Flee Button , so if u feel , your gonna lose for sure, then better not waste others time :)

I don't ever disconnect because you never know...

Just yesterday, I was facing a level 34 TM and he was at 29 HP me at 6 HP

Him: Guns deflected for 5 damage
Me: 1 HP left
Me: Strikes-blocked
Him: Strikes-blocked
Me: Rage guns for 31 Damage
Me: Wins

Well, I Don't Make It Daily But When I Get As An Opponent In 1vs1 A Noob (especialy if it is a mage since i also was one in other carracter) I Let Him Use All Of His Energy , I Heal To Have As Much Hp As Possible And I Let Him Win...While I Make A Good Favor It Kinda Amuse Me How They Struggle To Win By Hitting 3 Damage Over And Over For About 30 Turns...When I'm Left At Around 10 Hp I Tell Him...There Aren't Many People Like Me So You Better Go Learn How To Play

If I see a player who is about to level up I will give up a win, as long as they dont ask for a win. If some asks for a win it usually turns to begging, and at that point the whole point of the game is lost. If everyone helped people who ask for a win, the game would be no fun and lose its competition. As much as it pains these people to lose, it pains the people being asked to lose, to lose. So, the way the game should work, is the more skilled player or the player who has supported the game more wins. Plus, I feel kind of bad turning down so many people who ask for wins so asking for a win only causes discontent on both sides.

As for power hour, I am honestly playing so quickly and intensly I do not take the time to look or think about the experience of my opponents.

There were several times I purposely skipped turns against lower levels who were very good fighters and would've won if they had the same level as me. I made it a rule not to give wins to people asking for them because they tend to call you a noob when they get their win.

Maybe I am a bad person. lol
I do not give up on battles.

How do I help instead ? I commonly help lower levels to balance their stats (LOTS of lost points... my now distant past :P), find missions they can do to earn credits/weapons (they usually don't use wiki at all), decide which weapons to buy,...
Another thing I do that I find worth it (but many here may disagree) is to encourage them to never give up a battle but train their attack/defense combinations in each of them instead.

I struggle against several STR BM, SC TM and lv33+ CH but it has been changing as I can now beat some of them, even if it takes time. And my credits for this go to the never give up attitude as I keep learning how and where to twik my build at this time or when I level up.

Am I that bad ? ;)

@Depressed Void then show it with an action. :)

I also let others win. Sometimes. Just depends how close they are to level cap, or if they are trying for a daily.

I quit battles if someone's leveling up soon. I also quit if I enter a low level battle, and my teammate sees me and goes "Durr we win! You lose noobs!" I go lol nice try then i quit.

Wow I just fought against Paranoid (Something), a CH level 34.

Fought him two times in a row. First time I got blocks on his Static, critical massacre, got him down to like 20 HP, had rage up, attacked, got blocked. I lost. Didn't feel too bad, as I got really lucky.
Fought him again. Blocked his static, then blocked like 3 times in a row, then deflected his rage Aux. I won handily that time, but he was a nice sport about it all. Didn't say a word throughout both battles, but he didn't rage at me, rage at the RNG or say "NOOB" "LUCKY" or stuff. I appreciate that, and I acknowledged in-battle that I was super lucky both times.

ED needs more players like that.

What is this kindness you speak of?

The only time ANYbody showed kindness to me in the heat of an intense battle was when a higher level STR BH let me win to level up.

I traded off 3 wins for that tho...

And nowadays, I can't seem to find a battle that's worth fighting. I can kill a group of pixels in a few minutes, y'know.

And this, people, is why I quit ED for now. In AQW, least you get a purpose of playing, a real storyline with REAL rewards, and such. In ED, I have to vent in-game*, so kindness is nil from me since I'm fed up with the "Buy 5 of X item and get Y! Turn 8 of Y in for Z achievement worth...750 points ._."

* I'm not allowed to vent on the forums, despite the rules saying nothing about that. Apparently, I can't even say anything negative now.

My philosophy is that we were all n00bs at one point :)

Learn to live with it and grow up! :D

I'm pretty sure the developers like to see the nice people out in the world! :)

On a side note, I used to hate all Blood Mages...lol...until I found a couple kind ones out there who actually show sportsmanship instead of saying, and I quote from some one

"I can't be beat babe. Nice of you to try though, n00b." lol...that made me giggle inside.

@ Below. I did report him lol. And I have seen a LOT of things go by the chat filter :D

Just saying. :) The devs are nice...like our main man with the ever flowing beard...

@Above: I'm sure the developers only want money.

I'm also sure that the developers don't even...uh...play the game...

And uhm...your quote from the Blood Mage should have been "kindly" reported, as a "kind" deed, since I'm sure that calling someone "babe" in THIS particular game warrants a chatlock (especially since spam-reports gets yu chatlocked, messed up logic there).

I've done exactly this numerous times. Quite frankly, I don't care about my ratio, much less a single battle.
Treat others the way you want to be treated, the golden rule. It's not wrong. So I salute you for doing that, and
I wish everyone were the same as us few who do our best for others :/

Of course, I suppose I do look quite intimidating and "professional", I suppose, to the majority of other players. So when
I enter a 2v2 and my partner says, and I quote: "Ha I have a pro partner, you noobs are done", I'll just put up a smiley face and disconnect.
I do sometimes go out of my way to teach someone humility, plus I think all the players there realize what I did was just to make fun
of my partner, not out of fear. So I maintain respect along with a little education and a show of kindness (I hope).

I will never let someone win especially if they ask. I usually say earn it or how about letting me win.
If you live you will have to struggle, does not matter who you are. As Frederick Douglass said "If there is no struggle, there is no progress." Neither do I feel bad or need someone to validate my position, to each their own.

I commend those who let others win, as those who make them earn it, but if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day,
but teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime. When I fight someone of lower lvl and they say I lose, I try to encourage them
especially if they have a build that could possibly beat me. Tell them look at your adversary and try and see what his strength and weakness are and not just the lvl. Plus as a lvl 32 TLM I have won against some lvl 32 and up who had build that could beat me, why I won was because after the fight start they realize I wont die easily so the quit when they would have won. The best thing to do is that each person try and do the best they can with what they have and help those in your own unique way. Have a great day!

My reply to "can I win plz! pretty please!" is usually I dunno, can you? I only give someone a battle if they are about to level, and not all the time even then. Depends on how nice they are to me.

I say, "I'll let you win if you can get my health down to 0" or "Nobody ever let me win, why should I let you?"

Just met a guy, level 34, strength bm. He raged his gun, it got crit deflected (I would've survived anyways), he said bb noob. As soon as I survived he starting cursing and I was laughing. Next thing I do is gun killing him, saying "thats karma bro lol," then he said lucky noob. What a fine community we have in this game right?

I miss seeing those players who have casual chat during battle. 'n'

I also see some varium players ruining our reputation by aggressing f2p or newer players just because they get thrills from bullying.

okay, so maybe the title is a bit uh, strange, but i wanna see just how kind some people are to others in a fight, whether they deserve it or not and such. But i stick by the quote, 'Do unto others as you would them to do unto you'
