for those who support being able to buy success in the war. are you seriously saying spending varium is fun for you?

Personally I believe most "adults" chose their responsibilities, now they wanna rob kids of enjoyment because of their own life choice.
if you have kids, well surely that is on you right? and other peoples kids shouldn't be penalised for you not using contraception etc.

if you got a house, and bills to pay, maybe it's time you got something smaller, stop whining and get in the grind. if you are not
willing to give up as much of your time for the achievements [and war in general] then why should you be rewarded? I only see
one legitimate reason for being able to buy success directly, and that is profits for Artix.

someone said money winning wars is not uncommon. usually though they do it by buying superior tech etc, surely the equipment
you battle in is enough of an advantage, without getting bombs that make all wars a complete waste of time and energy.

oh and lets not forget, this "issue" effected every single player on the losing faction. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I am a varium player I might add.

No pivital, what we are saying is that if we have kids, and jobs, and lives, that we have a bigger responsibility to it than to this game, and that obviously we aren't going to be able to put in the kind of hours as the little kids can. Does that mean the war should be no fun for us because we have lives outside of the game? I think not.

I agree they shouldn't use tons of 'free' varium (even though they work for it) to win a daily, or get an uber high rank, but that doesn't mean they should be excluded from the event :s

@ScarletReaper: I understand but if you have kids and a job, maybe you shouldn't be having as much fun as the kids who have no responsibilities.

less time doesn't mean you can't have fun, what I am asking for is to allow players who earned the win to actually win, instead of some selfish player
swooping in at the last minute and buying success. it is a serious slap in the face to ALL players involved in the war, and overall ruined the previous
war. how sad was it that one faction couldn't even compete because the other faction had players with almost limitless bankrolls.

and I haven't even touched the non-varium angle here.

just admit it, you want to buy "fun" at the expense of everyone else. seriously, if buying bombs is fun then you are strange folk.

lol Smackie, system is being revamped. Although it is unlikely a varium option will be completely removed, hopefully it is nerfed at least.

otherwise it's another war I'll completely ignore.

The newly revamped war I think is in regards too how many points each npc gives when they are brutally murdered, which should be increased IMO. But I believe the varium(super war bombs) option was fine the way it was. Don't even think for a second they will get rid of a varium option in the war. It made them mad bills, why on earth would they want to stop that! XD

profit over everything else. even if it means the most exciting features and events are ruined by it.
why would anyone play all day everyday if they are the "poorer" faction and guaranteed to lose anyway.

might as well just stick with 1v1 and 2v2, at least you make some credits.

Man Pivotal you are such a Debbie Downer. Just enjoy the game for what it is. Also you will probably gain credits through the drops like they did during the last war...

And what do you mean poorer faction? No faction clumps together their checking accounts to buy varium. For the most part everyone buys their own varium so I don't understand what you mean by that.

To answer some of your rebuttal. It is you who is making a broad naive statement:
First the lap of luxury is relative to where one lives and the standards used. While I do live in the US and that would in generally put me in the
top 10% for income does not mean I live in the lap of luxury, I am not below the poverty line for here in the US but I am far from being wealthy.
Oh by the way I donate to charity at least 6% of my salary every year and will continue to do so as long as I am living.

No I do not think babies and children being raped is right that is the appropiate word to use. Same for the people with there limbs being chopped off.
Is your stance the same on abortion? You assumed much about me, here in my country and job I have talk about child sex abuse and abortion when
most would shy away from the subject. I dont, this will be the only time I will ever use fair a person born has a chance to make a difference despite the hardship
an aborted baby was never given a chance by your standard is that fair?

Oh one more thing I know a little about hardship PivotalDisorder, being African American I know the sting and stench of racism of Churches being burned
being lynch because the color of your skin and denied opportunity and with that being said served six years in the USAF for a country at the time had a lot
of racial problems.

It is okay for you and me to disagree, but nothing I said was meant to harm or hurt, now there will always be those who are easily bruised by what I say, the
one thing about all my post is that I try to be consistent in my belief and position, help those in need, and rebuke those who feel like they deserve something.

sorry if I can't enjoy a war that isn't really decided by warfare. from the responses so far, seems most would prefer it if varium was the ONLY way to win.

I am looking forward to more War announcements. I definitely wanna take part in a war but I won't bother if it's gonna be same as last time.

@Eazy Ease: probably better I leave those "issues" as single comments. on abortion I find it hard to decide. bringing a child into the world only to suffer
and be unloved seems horrible, but then killing an unborn child before it has any chance to decide for itself also seems horrible. abortion isn't new though.
I was just making the point that life isn't fair if we are going to judge life by the conditions it has to survive in. wasn't a personal dig at you at all.

 @Smackie the staff made it pretty clear that Super Bombs would get a change at the end of the Frysteland war but you should still be able to buy the war, and possibly a picture of yourself on the Dev's office wall, so don't worry Legion has it locked up and Exile is safe for yet another war.


@Drinde if you read Descrals story towards the end she cares only for herself and reestablishing her place of power and not for the Legion side or Baelius. or you can just read below and see it all for yourself

to pivotal so basically you are complaining that money wins wars, and money buys better tech, and that people with money have an unfair advantage in this game. Guess what this is like any other pvp game. Also you don't need money to have varium, due to the offers artix provides. Someone said they earned enough to gain 2k varium. That buys you a bomb. And why would I need a smaller house or lifestyle, I have a good enough job. My point was that I don't have time to waste 12 hours a day playing this game. I don't have time to level up slowly. And I like having good gear, because that's what wins battles and wars..sooo buddy instead of complaining..how about you do some of those offers and earn some free varium

@ wraith..i think you read it just fine.

@ trans... i never said give money to people rather then fight...i said money buys better tech, better weapons, etc...and yes offers do take time..but if you want the varium that is one way of getting it...

@ onewinged ..yeah sure maybe people in some countries can't do offers..i just said it as another solution for people who couldn't afford varium to support the game...it's the complaining in game and out of game.. that is bothersome..nothing come free in this world..and 10k varium is expensive no denial, that amount of money could be used for dinner for two or three..but that's how life and society and this game is...deal with it.

 @Above: You are one of the reasons we don't like Varium in wars...

And since you support money, why don't you buy a computer with punctuation keys or something? Or go pay to join a private school (since public schools didn't teach you grammar etc) so that you can put a period where it belongs.

In AQ, DF, MQ, AQW, and HS I believe - wars are fought. That means YOU have to fight, not send your money to do work for you. Last war - many people put effort into it and tried to get to 1st place to get cheevo for it but yet, Varium bought them 1st place instead. Wars are group effort, so you aren't supposed to fight yourself. Waste 12hrs a day? Unless you go for 1st place for cheevo, you don't have to do it - it's all up to you.
Next, he isn't complaining. Last War was Varium-oriented a lot, everyone wanted a change for next War which will happen as they are revamping (or did) the whole War system so instead of you complaining about Pivotal's opinion, read posts because you're wrong here yourself. If you were here for Frysteland War, you'd know what we're on about but I don't know if you were or not.

Offers are free? Right.
1. Not all work.
2. Some countries are limited to offers or even none.
3. Some require too much information or even want you to pay.

What did you say about the offers? Sure they work but over long time as they take time to do. Unless you show me a real life war where people were given Medals for giving out money instead of fighting, your point is invalid. ;)

 @the offers comments I would like to point out that America and I believe the UK, I would enjoy a UK player checking up on this for me, are about the most gifted when it comes to offers where as some other countries, I'm gonna throw up a blank here and guess some Central American or South American countries, even though they have a good player population they may have little to no offers. So saying go do offers is not always possible and can most likely tick off some players who are F2P and would love to do offers but are not able to or they would love to support the game and buy Varium but they are not able to.

So before you go about saying go do offers think about this first and then hold your tongue or fingers as the case may be.

UK offers are awesome :) doubt as good as US, but many are doable.

It's not having varium that is an issue for me, I got 8 chars 33 or above, all with varium gear and fully enhanced. I just think that someone going to work
in real life for personal gain shouldn't have a negative effect on players who actually play the game. you are saying you should be able to beat players
who spend all day playing, by just spending real money. this isn't about having fun, this is about using real money to crush others and win everything
for yourself without having to lift a finger. everyone in a faction can contribute to the war, but what is the point if players just negate it all with money.

just pushes more players to join the side that is gonna buy the war or players to just ignore the war altogether. the war is supposed to bring everyone
together, and pit Exile against Legion. not Money against time.

@PivotalDisorder: No problem, I have read many of your post and I liked that you often champion the underdog
I do also just a bit different. It was the same here when Martin Luther King and Malcolm X was alive, they both wanted
a better America for all of her people they were just different about their approach.

I agree that either choice is bad for children bringing them into a hard and cruel world, or rob the world of
one of its greatest triumph. The best any of us can do is first start with self be a role model for others, I have
led men and woman and have followed, the person I trust most is the one that has fallen but got back up again
it does not matter to me how many times they have fallen as much as it matters to me to get back up.
I have a problem following anyone who has never failed or fallen because I dont know if that person will
get back up until he does.

I fought on the losing side in the last war, but I made a choice not to spend real money for bombs,
but I understand the points being made about working and not having the same time as kids do.
Usually my work day is about 9 hours with a 3 hour round trip commute and I am a singleparent
so I do not have the luxury of spending all day in front of a computer. To address the problem of
throwing money at it should be like the stat progression of diminishing returns for a day or two days.
Then it would scale back the money put in most anyone who is working would not put a lot of
money in if my returns are bad. Just a thought and have a great day!

 War Boost? for 100 var give u double or triple the war points for 1 hour? if they going to put advantages with varium for war it should be this.
