Opinions have always been welcome, and we've made that very clear all along, the thing that we don't like is the way some things are posted. The thing is, people keep posting things in a way that purely criticises the game, focuses on the negatives and posts many things that are purely personal opinion as if they are 'facts', because so many people cross the line that is between fair criticism and rude, obnoxious posts that just show absolutely no courtesy or respect what-so-ever, because of this, we delete those posts. Due to that players complain over and over that it isn't fair, opinions aren't listened to, and we just delete any that show them. Which has turned into a vicious circle, which is kind of amusing, because players just don't learn. Let's be honest, some players have claimed themselves that 'flaming and being very aggressive is the only way to be listened to', where has that got them? They've ended up banned from the forums because they continued to post these kind of posts that were incredibly rude, showed a massive lack of respect and they just didn't listen to anyone else. Players keep being told that being completely negative, and not caring one bit about the feelings of others, including the Staff and Devs, will result in posts being deleted. Yet players still insist in posting them, getting them deleted, then complaining about it. If that's not working for you, then try actually listening to what we're telling you and you may find this vicious circle comes to an end. I prime example of things is JZaanu, if you look at JZaanu, you may have noticed that quite a lot of her posts in Design Note topics and some other topics have not exactly been all lovely, great game, everything is brilliant - there is a tiny bit of that, but she almost always posts some criticism, tells us how things may be improved, what she would like to see in the future - she expresses her opinion. As you may have also noticed, her posts haven't been deleted, and there's one reason why: Because she understands the true value of constructive criticism. She doesn't say how much he hates the game, how he hates the Devs, how everything 'sux', which for some weird reasons some people feel is the correct way of doing things, she instead simply says something like 'Loved this aspect of the release, I liked how you did *this*; I personally would prefer to see *this* in there though, and I think putting *this* in would certainly help also.' or she'll say 'I personally disagree with the way you did *this*, *this* and *this*, I think it would have been better if it included *this* and *this instead, it would have made it much more exciting. I see a lot of effort has been put into this release, and I appreciate that, thanks very much guys! I just think you could improve on what you've done, as said above.' - This is how you do it, this is how you become one of those people that we come on the forum and not only read their posts, and not delete them, but see it as a pleasure to read their posts and take note on the suggestions within. We don't expect you to do things just like JZaanu, but she's one example of how you get your posts listened to and not deleted. Another thing people need to take on board is that if you want your opinions listened to, and you want us to take on what you say, you need to listen to us and take on what we say. There's some ideas that have been presented, we've explained why it's not possible, and that person then says it again and again and again, and sometimes even tries to rally support for their ideas. This shows a complete lack of respect for us, and do you really think we're going to listen completely to people who act like that? If we say something is impossible to implement, or would take such a long time it's not even a consideration, then that's the fact, there's nothing you can do about that, and there isn't anything we can do about that, arguing that fact, which many players do is just going to annoy us and it's pointless, because it just shows how rude they are, and it gets their posts deleted. If we come on and we see someone telling everyone things like they are facts when they're nothing but opinions, we then explain these things and say why they did not happen/why they will not happen, and they start flaming us like we're some kind of bad guy spoiling every ones fun. That is also a way to get posts deleted and to build up a bad reputation. Here is a good example of the above: Some people have been complaining a lot and even threatening to quit the game over a petty issue of greed. 'I'm Beta, I'm Gamma, why should Delta get an armour?' - the funny thing is, that's the kind of argument I would expect to here from a 9 year old 'It's not fair'. The main answer to that though, since I feel in a way, it is a fair question, is this: In Beta the Beta Weapons were released, they were that phases special items. In Gamma, Gamma Bike and Bot released, they were that phases special items. In Delta, Delta Weapons were released, they were supposed to be this phases special items, but then Reki drew up a dope armour, and NightWraith just had to draw it up and release it. If in Gamma or Beta a player had made an armour as awesome as that, then I'm more than sure those phases would also have got an armour. Sadly they didn't and NightWraith never thought of it until Reki's suggestion. We love everyone's opinions, it really does help us in making this game as good as it can be, but, opinions, as stated many times, need to be put in an acceptable manner. We don't mind if you don't love this game and you don't constantly post good things about it. We just want you to realise that just posting you hate things, that you don't like all these things etc. doesn't work and it doesn't help. You need to explain why, and/or tell us how you would suggest fixing it. If we say it isn't possible, or post a possible issue with it, then you listen to us, you don't just tell us we're wrong, you have to take on what we say, like we take on what you say 'I do accept what you're saying, but can't you get round that issue by doing *this*', or something of that nature. Posting things purely from greed and asking for ways purely for yourself also doesn't work, we care about the whole community, not just one single persons demands. I hope everyone understands this and takes it on board, because I love opinions, and I want to see more of them, just posted in the correct manner! Thank you!
