@DestruRaGe: just a note: it's been renamed to the 'Infernal Infiltration War' (not saga)
the reasons should be obvious :) (if it isn't: it's because it's a war ^.^)

@DestruRage: not sure how I missed the Infernal part :P although I'd still say it's more of a reference to the underground i.e hell.
the reason I believe it is blood and not molten is molten tends to have oranges and yellows in it.

either way we shall find out soon enough :)

Mercs are far from underpowered in a 2vs2 a merc had support at 117 (25-30) I had tech at 84 (28-34 +5 +1) and because of his support being higher than mine he got 50 Critical damage with energy aux but because they finally fixed reflex boost the damage on me was less but he got 50+ damage on my partner.

Support is not a useless skill and was never nerfed so to keep saying mercs are underpowered is quite misleading, players that player the merc need to try different builds and stop trying to get the staff to hand them an easy soluions by the way of a buff. Now when I need twice as much dex to get even close to the Damage with Plasma Rain as they do with Artillery strike something is wrong with that picture and I did not write Artillery strike got critical damage I wrote he got Critical damage with Aux he got 50+ non critical damage on my partner that had dex at 96 (28-34 +9 +1).

so support was never nerfed by moving one of its bonuses to tech....right ^^

If you take a look at all what support did it did too much for one stat so they had to make adjustments and no moving deflection to tech was not a nerf. Take a look at all what support still does even though they took away deflection. There is no other class that has a stat that improves both multi and aux just the merc classes.

A tech with mid to high support build can do way more damage than a tech/strength build or a strength build but players need to stop being lazy by wanting a buff, a nerf, or copying other players builds with different weapons and experiment.

Real question is why on earth can level 31 players with all beta weapons have more stats with high health and energy than a level 34 player?

Any mod or staff wants to answer that question already.

Hmm, I guess there really was nothing but a slight NPC buff and the removal of the Easter rares. Pity. Perhaps next week will be a bit less disappointing? :)

@pivotal To sum up what Illuminator told me when I was talking about support with him, he basically said it's not supposed to be the skill you absolutely need to have. It's like the Luck stat in AQ. It's mainly to give small boosts here and there to multiple things, which is why it's called Support. It "supports" other stats and skills. You don't always need to go first and you don't always need to crit. You do need defenses and resistance though.

In that case support should increase block and deflect chance and no skills should improve with it since it is considered less that other skills.

@zman It does enough already. It's not supposed to improve everything in the game. Tech increases resistance and deflection chances, dex increases defense and block chances. Which makes sense since deflects and blocks are defensive. Support helps rage, first strike and crits plus some skills.

I don't think anything happened in this update. All they did was make juggernaut glitchy and take away the bunny weapons.

@The ND Mallet Guy: I never commented on support other than to correct Hun Kingq. support DID get nerfed.
the stat shouldn't be any less valuable than tech, dex or str though IMO, mercs wanna compete too.

PivotalDisorder, It did not get nerfed unless they change the equation, try it put your support high than others and see if you get more critical damage with either Artillery, Aux, or both and if you get less damage then it was nerfed but if you get more than it was not.

Support stat is still the same except for improving field medic and putting deflection under tech, and that is not a nerf, the effectiveness of support is still the same. How it scales on the stat progression is the same so where was the nerfing at, lowering the damage potential or making it less effective on the offensive skills or the Aux. You know it takes me twice as much dex to get the same damage with plasma rain then Artillery strike?

Support is NOT as effective as it used to be and saying otherwise is just making up rubbish.
Yes it scales the same as it used to but if there are less things for which the stat is useful for.
Therefore Support was nerfed.

BTW Please provide proof on Bugs area if you are having trouble with multis being wrong because I certainly don't believe that you need twice as much dex to get the same damage.

khalidon5000, does support have damage potential, no, does support still improve aux and certain offensive skills, yes, so therefore it was not nerfed.

Yes, I have to have dex twice as high as support to get the same or more damage and have less of a chance of Critical strike unless the opponents support is less than mine. I tried it without Reflex boost on an with Reflex boost on and the place that gives any viable damage is when Plasma Rain is at 80 damage potential that is 180+ total dex
