Taken from the original Conquest.
So here's my proposal.
We play a game that's sort of like Risk, conquering areas as indicated by the map by the black lines. I gave each clan 3 areas and their own color that indicates the areas they control. The white areas are not owned by anyone at the start of the game.
Battles would happen in the weekend, but it'd be up to the clans to discuss where they intend to attack. There would also be a GameMaster, who's job is to collect the attack plans of each clan, which they would provide to him/her by PM.
After the weekend comes, there's the usual score tally thing. Maybe like... if two clans are going for the same uncontested area, the one who manages to raise their Defense Score more wins the spot. Attacking a clan would require for their Defense Score to drop below what it started as.
As another example, say Dynami is going after B7, but Igneus decides that they will attack owned Dynami lands. At the end of the weekend, Igneus has successfully lowered Dynami's D.S. which will result in their attempted capture of B7 to fail. This is a tad easier to do than to somehow keep score on the Dynami's attempted capture of B7 AND Igneus' attack on Dynami lands, that'd then occur in Dynami possibly capturing B7 but also losing an area to Igneus.
If anyone has better ideas for these, do tell.
The attack plans have ONE little thing to 'em. They will only be revealed AFTER each weekend plan. Sure, the clans can go about diplomacy and make treaties and plans, but for the sake of the game's secrecy and THRILL, we politely ask that they keep such actions a secret. Anyway, after the weekend is over, the map is updated along information being given out who did what, attacked who, repelled who's attack and so on.
The first round will sort of be crucial, as it will give each clan an idea which clan they should focus their effort afterwards, one way or another.
Also, each clan can only take ONE action per weekend. Like attack an enemy clan area or try to capture a free area.
Speaking of which, the free areas are currently labelled as A, B and C.
B currently has a LOT of free spots, but it's sort of a historical area so I figured it would be allright to make it tougher to control. In case people are upset about it, go ahead and say and I can cut down on 'em.
A is the route for Glacius, Nocturu and Geoto to go about in their own corner, primarily for Glacius since they lack any contact to the mainland, just like Aerodu, who have the C area for them, along Igneus and Nautica.
While Glacius really has no chance right now but to attempt capture of either A1 or A2, depending who they wish to go after, Aerodu has the chance of either capturing C2 or attacking Nautica.
I figured the best way to go about the uncontested areas which connect some Paxia areas to the main one is to make it a 2-step thing, so it won't be that Aerodu makes one move and by next week they're ready to invade the mainland.
I figured I might do a summary of the rules explained above in details:
-Monday to Friday, you got to decide with your clan where to attack. Battles for taking control of an occupied area is done during the weekend. The one who has a better rising in points win. For multiple attacks, if the two or more clans manage to beat the defender's score raise, the defending clan lose, and the area is given to the clan who had a better fluctuation of points.
-Battles begin at
Saturday midnight to Monday midnight Friday 10:00 PM to Sunday 10:00PM AQ Server Time (GMT-5 Eastern Timezone).
-You have until
Saturday midnight Friday at 10:00 to PM your clan's battle plan to the GM (me). If it's not received by the GM until then, the clan is considered skipping it's turn.
-Battles are done in the Adventurer Server (free button on the homepage) to give a chance to every kind of contestants to participate.
-Each clan has
a single two actions during the week.
As to not create any confusion or things that might get this thread delete, THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL SUGGESTION FOR PAXIA IN-GAME!
This will be some sort of contest game for Paxians to play in, to fill the huge gap of inactivity so we can actually do something.
Also, I've decided to add a few new rules to keep things intresting.
1. Every clan can choose two spaces to conquer instead of the previous one. You cannot attack from a space you don't yet own.
2. Wars in AQ will create groups on Paxia and attack clan spaces. The invader's will appear on a blank space if possible, and thier defence score will be determined by a random number generaton (between -50 and 50. Will change when Paxia becomes more active.) After the war is over, the invaded areas will become free for conquest.
I plan on starting the conquest up again next week, so start thinking about where to attack. PM me where you choose to strike, and get ready for the coming shadow war!
EDIT: if anyone's wondering why the newly conquored Dynami spaces have white text, it's because the black text was to hard to see.
EDIT 2: acidently derped the map and forgot Geoto for a minute, fixed now.
EDIT 3: I need someone to take the ending score for the week.
EDIT 4: Changed the quote to prevent any potential confusion. I take the screenshot and start the round on Friday, 10:00 PM, and the ending screenshot on Sunday, same time. Mainly for my own benifit. I just can't stay up until midnight every Sunday.
ROUND 1: Only Nautica failed to take both spaces.... Should really try harder next time.
ROUND 2: Dynami failed to obtain Noctutu territory and Nautica failed again. Aerodu and Geoto got both chosen spaces again.
ROUND 3: Aerodo failed to take Igneus, geoto and Dynami defeted Nocturu, and get ready because next week stuff is about to go down! Just look where those three clans are!
ROUND 4: Dynami and Nautica were the only clans to take anything. TEAM DEATHMATCH!!!
ROUND 5: I had a major mess-up in the plans.... Oddly enough I was looking at the right begining and end screenshots, but somehow still managed to get almost every score wrong.... Fixed now, but basicly Geoto stopped Dynami, Nautica fought hard but not nearly hard enough to get past Aerodu, and Ultrapowerpie will probly slap me with a trout for such a huge mistake.... BATTLEON!!!
ROUND 6: My plan to sneak over into Geoto territory and get to inactive land failed when Dynami took that area with 1000 points, Aerodu took the other two Nautican spaces so we're pretty screwed, and Dynami got the other Geoto space they were after.... And that concludes Friday the 13th's lucky round #6!
ROUND 7: Well, Nautica's gone.... Geoto, in a new plan, started taking Lucian spaces while Dynami's distracted with Aerodu but will they be able to take on Dynami in the end? Also, Aerodu finished off Igneus. Now, which of the three clans will win? Will any wars ever actually affect these clans? Will Ultrapowerpie ever learn fish is food, not a weapon? Find out (somewhat) NEXT ROUND!
ROUND 8: Since Geoto forgot thier plans (for real, this time) the only thing that happened was Dynami took A2 and A8, both Geoto spaces. Annddd.... Yeah, so we can start answearing our previous questions: Probly Dynami, No, and I'm not an expert on fish-based weaponry.
ROUND 9: Dynami completely dominated the match while Aerodu couldn't get past the huge wall of Dyniman terrain! However, Geoto still managed to take the Lucian and Glacius spaces! Now, only Aerodu, Dynami, Geoto, and Glacius remain.... Seriously, Glacius, if you're going to survive you might want to start soon. Just saying. Also, I somehow managed to name the ending screenshot "Round START Nine" without realizing it, so the sombrerro saved me this time.
ROUND 10: Dynami gained 2 spaces, and Glacius is screwed.... Yeeaaahhhh that's about all I can say.... Stay clan-y, Paxia!
ROUND 11: No change, pass on a discription.
ROUND 12: After a hilarious almost misunderstanding that I'm sure we'll all laugh about later, but for now I blame our imaginary sponsor who's name I completely forgot. Those things have brought the conquest nothing but bad luck!
ROUND 13: Dem Aerodians, they say the darndest things *haha* Other then that, Geoto and Aerodu took Dynami territory! It'll be all uphill from here. And I finally decided that at round 20, thing'll move twice as fast! If we havn't had a winner by then, then it should be time to speed things up.
ROUND 14: Dynami took two spaces, Geoto forgot to send in thier plans, and dangit Kinzvill! I blame Falerin. Don't care why, I just blame him.
ROUND 15: Aerodu scored 5 points.... I can't eve- what! *sigh* it's better then nothing, but I have never seen numbers this low since the great "Division by 0" war. Dynami took two spaces, and it's time to initiate plan: TogzardII, or continuing exactly what I'm doing until round 20. (this will make more sense next week) \/ Congrats!
ROUND 16: Dynami nacho'd two spaces.... Who would've guessed? And now I'm going slowly mad.... Well, unless you read the previous round statements in which case you'll discover I'm already there *laughs* Anyways, congrats to Aerodu! I brought back the whole quoting your plans thing! Isn't that great news!?!? ........ Peace out....
ROUND 10+VII: Areodu is currently sending thier head, and Moogle-human relationship enthusiest Ultrapowerpie, close sibling of Pewdiepie, to do a battle of wits and cards and possibly portals aginst the nefarious forces of Geo-Dynami! Who will live and who will die? Details at whenever-they're-avalable.... Also, should the PUC have a Twitter #? And what would YOU call it?
ROUND 18; FIGHT!!!: Dynami scored 2 Aerodu spaces. So, since this is getting terrably predictable, attack 4 spaces instead of 2 next round! Yes, it's a week ahead of schedule, but this game needs stuff to start happening. Also, a moment of silence for Kinzvlle who will no longer be speaking for Aerodu in the Conquest.
