Introduction and Overview

Hello and welcome to the Technomancer guide! In this guide you will find practically anything you would need to know about the Technomancer class. If you have any other questions or need advice, feel free to PM me using the link below.

The Technomancer class is a steampunk-themed class with elements of magic as well. Its skills and abilities are all powered through magiscience, which, as its name implies, is the fusion of both magic and science to achieve an end. The origins of the class are based within the Gnomish town of Popsprocket, and noteworthy Technomancers include Dr. Voltabolt and certain residents of Popsprocket like Yix. The first time Technomancy was mentioned in the game was, however, through Dr. Voltabolt. It was not learned until later that he used to live in Popsprocket and that he had been trained by the gnomes there, who forced him to leave after he became a dentist.

How to Obtain

To obtain the Technomancer class, these are things you must first have with you or have completed:

  • Reach level 30. Technomancer is one of the few classes in Dragonfable to actually come with a level requirement for obtaining the class.
  • Obtain 15 Charged Cogs. You must acquire 1 Charged Cog for unlocking the class from Yix, and then 14 more to unlock each additional skill. The easiest way to obtain the Charged Cogs is in the quest Pachelbel's Cannon. The reason this is the best method for obtaining the Cogs is due to the fact that it has a 100% drop rate and a relatively low amount of enemies, making it more efficient than the other means of obtaining them. Alternatively, you may choose to use the Richard's Gear quest to obtain the Charged Cogs. Richard's Gear contains fewer cutscenes, but it has a greater amount of enemies to fight.

    FAQ

Why do my attacks get weaker as I go further through a Quest?
Mana Grenades is generally the best option for quickly taking out monsters, and as time progresses, you will begin to lose the one thing Mana Grenades relies on most: Mana. This means that the power of Technomancer's most reliable OHKO skill weakens over time if you can't find a healing pad or run out of potions. Plan accordingly!

I was fighting in PvP and used Debug to strip my enemy of their Mana, but they kept using skills against me. What is going on?
PvP is currently bugged. What was once able to cripple your opponent doesn't work effectively at this moment in time. This will likely be fixed once the bugs in PvP are worked out.

There has been talk about "9.0 classes" recently. What does this mean? Is Technomancer one of them?
Being a "9.0 class" means that a class has either been created after the 9.0 Dragonfable Engine update or has since been updated to meet 9.0 class standards. Classes that are not updated for the 9.0 Engine change are generally weaker since their skills (Primarily Shield and DoT skills) are much more flawed. Technomancer has not been brought up to 9.0 standards yet, and a confirmed date of when it will be has yet to be announced. DragonLord, SoulWeaver, TogSlayer, enTropy, Doom Knight, and the Base classes (Ordinary, Dragon, and Atealan) are all 9.0 classes.
