Ok I was thinking since the Mechachilds don't are playable NPC why not have them drop the old gems that the vault use to drop when they beaten? Of course not a 100% chance of a drop, but this could help the lower level players as well as some of the higher level players who need to get credits who can't get varium boosts. So what do you think?
