A question Kaho, now we do each of our character's prologue? And, would you mind if I used certain elements from the prologue to make a supporting character?

I read the prologue again oh do forgive me for the amount of typos. Google doc's UI is kinda confusing.

Would anyone mind if I substituted Sandsea for Tehrt Hyimon?

Sure thing. Just be sure to describe the place in clear detail.

And yes, Mort. At this point you guys should prepare draft for you own prologues. Van Hellsin is up first. And yeah, you can.

Kaho: A question, that great city in the prologue, was it completely destroyed, or it's habitants were just murdered? Also, we should change the state of the Plot, and, Van is the first to send us his prologue?

Inhabitants were just murdered. The City itself is a ghost town at the moment.

Excellent, would you mind if I used it for Sarpedon's prologue? Not in the sense that it's were it happened, but as a place he visited

I'm halfway complete. It's pretty decent, Aizen helped.

quote:

Even the mighty Empire of Brittania, the superpower of the West, failed in their countless attempts to conquer the terrain and uncover any secrets that may lie within. Their sophisticated machines made of copper, brass, iron and steel- products of the wonders of human ingenuity, have fell short to the unforgiving elements. Their steam reliant technology was simply too taxing on their resources.

Where does Victor fall in this category

Well you first need to state which country Victor resides in.

Since we are using our own Earth as a basis, the Empire of Brittania, as you may have guessed encompasses the whole of the United Kingdom, along with most of the countries in Western Europe.

Xuěqiáng itself is a stand in for the Himalayas and Bhagavāna, is Mt. Everest.

Though I think Victor may be somewhere near the Carpathian mountains, so close to the border of the Eastern Hemisphere which is why the Mage Council managed to track him down.

I actually placed him in the region of the Mediterranean Sea, in the Arabian Peninsula. I have him and Anubis heading towards the region that should be Afghanistan

Hmm...Good. Since our setting should be around the 17-18th century. Your character should be living within the boundaries of the Ottoman Empire. Though I haven't thought ahead what their equivalent should be in our world so I'll leave that part up to you.

I too need to work on Galatea's prologue.

Anyway, how was the main prologue? Any comments and suggestions to make it better? Are you content with it?

To be honest, I loved it, and, that city, I like it, oh, by the way, Chile would be in the magical or steam-punk side of the world?

Chile is in South America right? Well, I guess I'll leave that your jurisdiction, since Glaisaurus is in charge of North America. And the way he describes the New World is that it seems they have already achieved industrial revolution compared to the Brittanian Empire.

@Mort

Not in the proposed time-period. Chile is either still inhabited with natives or the Spanish arrived and slaughtered them

So a mix? Because, IIRC, Cile wasn't too advanced during the 17-18 century, but there was a heavy black market I think

You can but try to keep the level of technology down. As such, wireless communication systems such as a television or a radio aren't invented yet. Phones however, can be plausible since based on Viktor's discoveries, electricity is already usable, though its use is not as wide spread as steam technology.

Hum, yeah, what years were 17-18 century again, just so I can locate the historical period? Oh, and the motto of my country "By right or might"

I kinda have a technological advantage. The thing is, during this time period not a soul would believe me.

EDIT: Don't include phones. At the least landline phones. Victor's electricity is crude, but efficient

@Mortarion

17th century (1600~1699 A.D.)= Age of enlightenment. People start to embrace science and shy away mysticism.
18th century (1700~1799)=Great Colonial Period. The British and other Europeans were racing for the New World, the Americas. Oh, and the French Revolution happened.

Kaho: Well, Chile didn't had much technology those times, we were still a Spanish colony, enemy of Britain, so I guess that outs me in magic, if you want however, I could PM you the Wikipedia article, and if you mean who wrotte the motto, it has been lost to time
