What if the option to BUY a class was implemented? Then if you owned multiple classes switching between them would be free. It would have to be a hefty cost though so people dont abuse it. Possibly 5000-10000 Varium or the credit equivalent. Maybe 5000 Varium for the starting classes and 10k Varium for the advanced classes?

Yes.

Yikes, I was thinking 1500 varium or 100000 credits per class, regardless of type. $50 for 1 class, good bye.

And instead of paying to reuse the class, Rabblefroth would develop more on the calendar functions, 1 class change per 30 days. Less spikes in CPU usage as opposed to every 2 minute changes, so less crashing. This would also slow down on "overpowered bandwagon of today". One balance change to nerf the overpowered and they are stuck with a nerfed class until the timer resets to allow them to change class again.

^I just didn't want the price TOO low. But yeah if the price was 1500 Varium one could buy all 6 classes with the $50 package and have 1k Varium to spare. There has to be some balance where everyone is happy. If the price is too low ED loses out. Too high and no one will purchase.

I do like the time limit between class changes. Another great way to stop abuse.

As for getting nerfed and waiting for the reset, that's a good time to re-arrange your build and find something that works. In this game you sometimes need to adapt to survive.

I applaud what you said here, this type of thing needs to be encouraged.

Thank you. I was a Strength abusing BM for awhile but people adapted and my win percentage dropped. So I went for a 5 focus build and now I rarely lose.

What most people fail to realize is that releasing mutating armors and primaries really makes class change alot more affordable.

During Beta days only Beta weapons and Founder Armor were mutating. So if you did not have these, it would have been more expensive to change class. Also, the price for a class change was higher.

In my opinion, class change has been highly encouraged since Beta, by releasing lots of mutating items and decreasing price of the change itself.

So no, I do not support further encouragement for it. Price itself is not the issue, but the suggested feature itself I disagree with.
