I had no idea rabblefroth was about to be put in the game xD But I like it! What is your opinion on fighting him? I personally like the book when he shoots a little spell. Possible new Scholar class?

While I am glad he is part of the game, the way he fight with the book shouldn't have been put into the game. Even the mage class doesn't attack like this, and because of this I can see a whole knew can of worms being opened to make this game more like WOW because of this.

At the start of the match he forms a staff, he uses his book as a sidearm.
He needs a buff... He's wayyyy too easy!

I know he uses a staff. However the book sidearm still worries me. I know it is a new original idea but it still makes me think that the game might take a turn for the worst and become like WOW because of it. We already had suggestion for amulets, watches and dress up items that grant stats in the past yet we could reject them easily since there was nothing like it before. However with this book sidearm now those same people will have some fuel to say the NPC character rabble has an magic item so why not add this?

 Oh come on, stop picking on art now. Varium is source of Energy which fuels Tech Mages, but having another source is wrong? Dage made it to our universe somehow and it was fine but this is wrong? Magic still exists in ED, only because it reminds you of WoW is your personal opinion. I've never played WoW so that made no turn for the "worst" and become like WoW.

Some people are picky on art and new concept. We don't even know the source of magic on Delta V yet you already make assumptions that it's turn for the worst. Varium is one source of the magic but doesn't have to be the only one.

That isn't true, it's just some belief which is not correct.
Don't worry about that silly story, EpicDuel will live on for another couple years!

So...my fight against Rabblefroth confirmed that I need to switch classes.

I mean, I lost twice against him due to no blocks with 90 Dex. CH just isn't cutting it for me, I've made up my mind to switch classes. Probably Tactical Mercenary though...as long as it can kill NPCs such as Dragonoid Brain, Snork, and do well in 1v1...

On the plus side, 1750 rating points is nice!

I personally fell that Rabble needs a buff. Of all of the NPC I fought against he is the only one who I beat the first time without fail. Every other NPC give me a challenge and took me a few tries to beat, but Rabble the guy is a grade a push over.

@^: I agree. Rabble kinda needs a buff, but he is only Level 30. My point was that as a level 34 CH, I couldn't beat him TWICE in a row. Therefore, justifying my need to switch. Tac Merc maybe? Or Tech Mage? O.O

I'm stunned. Its just a normal gun, shaped in the form of a book. I mean, nothing wrong with that right? We have guns in all shapes and sizes too...

Only sidearm I see that doesn't look like a sidearm. All the others I have seen have a technology science theme with them. However this new doesn't fit the sci/fi futuristic punk theme ED has going. Don't get me wrong it is great art, but it feels like something that belongs in one of the other games. It may be just me but it feels so out of place in this game.

Yes, I see where you're coming from. It seems more like AQ stuff, since ED has TECHmages and not just normal mages. But maybe this paves the way for the devs to make the mages less tech-y.

To easy to beat, just for a moment when he opened his book to cast a spell and it critted i was like whoa whats going on. But than i realised it's just a side arm and a lucky crit so i beat him and he died :) He could have been made alot harder, this did actually feel like one of those npc's that you farm every hour instead of a boss fight.

^That's what I felt too. I ended the battle with full health after blocking most of his attacks and coupled with bloodlust. A little too easy, but good for us I suppose.

I don't know about you guys, but I find that he is hard for me. T_T Maybe I'm not as good of a Bounty hunter as I thought I was?

The book projectile weapon is simply a sidearm design, it's like the Armor Hazard's energy orb.

I seriously doubt ED will degenerate into using books as common weaponry. :p

Smoke him, and hope for a couple of blocks. No point draining his energy since he has reroute.

What kind of build do you use to defeat him? I only have 6 shadow arts and 22-27 def and 23-twenty something res.

I had level 10 Shadow Arts, 27-33+5 Defense and Resistance. In essence, a tank Bounty :)

Well maybe he is supposed to be easy. Just like Hank or maybe he is just not that good of a fighter.

@Drinde
Books can hurt pretty bad if you throw them hard enough and i don't think it's going be a common side arm. Just for the Rabble npc.

Ok, is there any other stats you can give me, oh and skills? :O I really want to use a tank bounty, strength is nice, but I'd like to be able to survive longer. xD

Maybe he is... But if that's correct... They went a bit overboard on the RP of his achievement... Sheesh 1750 is too much for a simple NPC I can farm...

i see every one say his easy to beat and need buff, its easy because were level 35, think about the level 25 guys who want to fight him. well what you guys think don't you think that's why his easy
