Role Playing General Discussion Forum Rules

  • All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply!
These rules should be the first things you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming your signature or emoticons, and no mentioning hacking. Period.

  • RP-related Discussion Only
The only topics to be made in this forum are those related to Role Playing. As the name of the forum suggests, they should be of a general nature. Specific discussion about specific Role Plays should happen in the related RP OOC forum thread.

  • Duplicate Thread Postings
If a thread which discusses the topic you wish to create already exists, use the existing thread for discussion. Do not create a new thread that simply duplicates a previous one. Nor should you change the wording of your topic or the content of your first post to appear distinct from an existing thread.

  • No RP Complaints
Complaints or issues regarding the RP cap should not be made here, nor should complaints be made at all in accordance with the Universal Forum Rules. The RP cap is in place for many reasons including, though not limited to, maintaining quality RPs.

  • Do not Respond to a Rule-Breaking Post
The proper course of action in this circumstance is to alert a member of the RP Forum Staff via PM. Check to be sure which ArchKnights are online before sending a PM to ensure the problem will be handled without delay.

  • Do not Respond to Dead Threads
Threads will be considered "dead" if there have been no posts for fourteen days. Please do not post simply to revive the thread; you may create a new thread with the same topic if you wish. However, if your post in a "dead" thread is especially thought-provoking and constructive it may be allowed at the discretion of the forum staff.

  • Signature Rules
Signatures should be limited to once per thread in the RP GD, similar to the RP OOC rules.

If an issue arises within the RP forums (be it clarification of the rules, an issue with a specific user, or reporting rule violations), the following is a list of individuals to contact. If you wish to report threads in violation of the rules, you may contact any RP ArchKnight or the RP Head Moderator. If you have an issue with an ArchKnight, please contact the head moderator. If your issue is with the moderating staff, please contact Scakk and/or Zyrain.
