Hero Smash General Discussion Forum Rules (HS GD)
All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply!
These should be the first thing you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming your signature or emoticons, and no mentioning hacking. Period.
1) No Petition threads
We know there are things you'd like to see, but threads with topics like "Who'd like to see the Tpyo Dmeon Pet in the game? Post your signature below!" just cause clutter and spam. Likewise, using a thread to petition the Staff after changes are made that you dislike is also against the rules.
2) Read other users' posts before replying.
Please read the entire post. If you do not, you may miss something important which would affect how you replied.
3) Do not bump "dead" topics
If a topic has not been posted in for 5 days or more, the topic is finished. Please don't post in it.
4) Pictures
Please do not post pictures (Like Screenshots) directly in your topics - post the link instead.
5) Videos
HS makes a great game to make a film of, however, make sure than any links to post do not contain any material that's not PG-13 (Like Offensive/profane material.)
6) Clan threads. There are no Clans in-game, although there may be eventually.
7) Deletion notices
In general, you will receive a PM about any post that you make which is deleted. However, posts in threads containing multiple simultaneous rule breaking posts may be deleted without notification. Posts solely there for whining will also be deleted without notice.
8) Tagged threads
Certain official (=HS=) threads - such as the (Dis)Accomplishments thread, Let's Party, and War threads are designed to collect one type of post. These posts ONLY belong in this thread. Posts which belong in one of these threads may be treated as spam if they appear in another thread.
9) Tagging threads
Please do not use tags (like =HS= and =AK=) in the title of your thread. This is only used by ArchKnights or Moderators to show that a thread is official. If you use these tags, it may lead to a warning.
10) Cheating/hacking: no discussion of these topics.
10.1) Posting Screenshots of Content Not Officially Released - This breaks the above stated rule, as well. Sometimes it can be from a bug exploit or coding error. Whatever the case, it is not allowed. If you do find a problem (or what you think could be a problem), PM a someone on the Forum Staff (administrator or moderator).
10.2) Found a character you suspect is a cheater, or found websites with information about hacking? Gather the information (for a character: character ID, why you think it is a cheater and screenshot proof), and PM the details to a Moderator. Do NOT post it in the forums. If you do not include a character ID, we cannot take any action. Please note that the character name is the character ID for HeroSmash.
10.3) If you think your account has been scammed/hacked please follow this link. Posting about it in the forums will not help you, and will therefore get deleted and treated as spam.
Any reports for people phishing passwords, or trying to trick people out of their account information must be done via the in-game report system.
12) Staff have final say
Membership of this forum is a privilege, not a right. Membership only guarantees the ability to access them. Trolling, harassment, or any other rule breaking will result in varying degrees of punishment (though some violations result in automatic bans). Staff have the final say in the issue, and disagreeing with them in anything other then a private, respectful manner will be considered not only harassment but trolling. If you have issues with moderation that has occurred the correct actions to take are:
For an ArchKnight: (All contact mentioned is by PM/Private Message)
PM them first, attempt to resolve the issue, if you cannot resolve the issue contact the head moderator of the board (For HS GD this is: Omni  ) If your issue still cannot be resolved, you can take it to the Forum co-heads ( Scakk and/or Zyrain.). Their word is Final.
For a Moderator: Contact that moderator first. If they cannot resolve your issue, you can take it to the Forum co-heads ( Scakk and/or Zyrain.). Their word is Final.
Final Notice:The forums are made up of a very diverse cross-section of the global community. Accordingly, we ask you to remember that not everyone speaks English as a primary language; that not everyone has the same education; that not everyone is of the same race, ethnicity or religion. Treat each other with kindness, respect and tolerance. This is not a request.
