I am lvl 18 while he is lvl 11.

Edit: If he is at least lvl 12, i am dead for sure.

Fighting a legendary character like Founder Champion with a character that is not legendary will give the latter the disadvantage because it does not have unqiue cards like retribution or great healing. But it is fun to fight legendary character using on-legendary character but things will get more interesting if legendary vs legendary.

 It doesn't matter what rank you are.
It just matters how you play your cards.
You played yours an inch better than the FC did.

 Rank doesn't have to do with anything. It just shows what rank you are on.
As awesome said, luck of the cards. And battle strategy.
Edit: The Rudolphtheus has Ice Orb. Matches Frost Void. Rank is cancelled.

Just got Sword Nomad, 2 Stone Walls and Petrify is beast for being an Apprentice.

@ Dannish, well, rank somewhat determines your win rates, due to more cards being available to you.
But yeah, some of the most important factors are the luck of the draw and the initiative. Some people don't know how important the initiative can be...

 Energize is a card available for Master Ranks.
Discard an attack for 10 Energy. I know that can be useful in some situations.
Does it stop you from getting it? No, not really.

Frost Void >>>>> Rudolphtheus. Just because it has Ice Orb does NOT make it equal. Cosoma is about equal to Frost Void, but is extremely hard to capture. Master Barbarian is still the best Ice character. If there were no benefit to higher ranks why would we even bother sacrificing hard-earned levels to upgrade? Founder Champion is WAY better than Founder Knight, that's why it can still pose such a threat with massive level gaps.

Speaking of cards, sometimes it is very easy to predict which cards will appear after you used up the entire deck. I always predicted and most of the time i was right! So luck can be important in battle.

It really doesn't depend on rank, it depends on the cards you have. The better the cards you have the better the character is regardless of their rank.

 I already know it can pose a massive threat.
Think of it as a War Meter with Noobs and Pros. As example of course.
It's the way you play your cards. It just tips the meter on winning.

Yes, there are cards. Better cards ensure you to win. But, there is a chance of losing, regardless.
Whether it's by %00.01.

About Rudolphtheus vs Frost Void, while Rudolphtheus may have frost orb, he lacks Freeze and Shatter, both of which Frost Void wields. Those two cards are very beneficial to an Icy stall deck, which renders Frost Void slightly more useful the Rudolphtheus.

Better ranked characters have a strong tendency to have better decks, as they should. There are exceptions like VampireLord, but they are but exceptions that prove the rule. To say that Founder Champion is no better in PvP than Founder Knight is just simply incorrect.

 The problem is that you are mixing in rank with your statement.
Took it away, I would be right with ya.

It doesn't matter if you're at rank Negative Apprentice. Rank has NOTHING to do with anything.
Partial luck, Partial Cards. The rest is determined by your mind.
