Personally I like Membership, even one that you have to pay recurringly to maintain, but it has to be done in the correct way. AE players have been spoiled with one time Memberships in their old games and that's why the recurring Membership in AQW has close to failed, because AE players aren't used to having to pay like that. However if they'd stuck to their decision of Membership as the prime form of upgrade then perhaps AE players would eventually have learned but insted they went and made ACs the main focus in regards to what's important there, Rares, while only giving Membership a marginal advantage in regards to Power which is the second thing that's of importance in AQW (and normally the most important in every other RPG). This is why I hope that in this game they won't make that same mistake, they've started with SGs as the sole form of upgrade and that's the way it should stay. However with that we also have to reap the downside with that and that is that SGs will probably be like ACs in AQW, that is that close to everything worth anything will have an SG price tag. The game has to generate revenue to keep running and that's the price we'll have to pay for it not having Membership. At least that's what I hope they'll do here, stick to one form of upgrade and not several since that only creates problems and friction in regards to equality between them. @The Mango Congratz, I'm taking a break at 14 1/2... got bored.
