I know it sounds silly, but I would really like a run over feature for all bikes. It doesn't affect game play in anyway and I think it would be personally fun.

Heck there could even be new cheevos added for this as well.

So ED community what do you think?

Yeah like that and there could be a feature that keeps count of the people you ran over when you get enough run overs you can earn a cheevo. Heck even a LB could be added as well.

I have to admit, I laughed at this!

When you say "run over" do you mean like an animation of them getting run over? Or you just "run them over" by going past/over them?

Gosh, I'd hate to be the people getting run over. How about a cheevo for the people getting run over? A low one of course to start them up with cheevos. xD

Outside animation would be cool for it as well. That would be really cool to add. But yes it would give some players a new thing to do with bikes.

Wouldn't the animation cause lag? Especially at World 7 Oz, where there are A LOT of bikes are players.

@Mother1,

Maybe, like the house items, players have the choice to turn the feature on/off. (The animation that is)

But the points and the leaderboard idea sound pretty cool!

Delta V would become a terrible place. Think about it. One day you're walking to the Vendbot to buy a booster for the day and when you -WHAM. All pedestrians would become bike fodder. The streets would be full of thugs running over all the people too poor to buy a bike, especially if there was a leader board.

But that is what makes it fun. Plus don't forget omega is coming soon, and they can just farm for credits on NPC all they want and they can get a bike to join in on the fun. If it was still delta or before I could understand, but with Omega coming poor players will be a thing of the past.

Bikes are still much more expensive than upgrading weapons. And having something like this distracts people from actual battles they should be spending their credits on.

Also, running people over all day to get to a leader board doesn't sound too fun after the first day anyway. What happens if there are no people to run over after everyone farmed NPCs to get bikes? And what would happen if people start to use their other accounts to use as bowling pins all day? It just doesn't sound like a good way to spend the developer's time to me.

 Well, i see alot of biker gangs coming, crossing central station from junker to junker to run over everything they see.
Sounds Fun :D

Supported, only the LB is kinda useless, there shouldnt be a cheevo for it since its only a fun feature.
I mean, there will be people bothering everyone in game and that crosses the lines.

Edit: Think about this:

You are a new player, just joined ED.
Started a character, logs in, finished tutorial.
BAMMM, run over by 1000s of bikers.
This will discourage new players alot.

I would also suggest that everytime you run over a poor pedestrian fellow player, a mod is summoned to suspend your driving license, and you won't be able to equip a bike for 1 hour.

Collisions with bikes? Sure. Leaderboard? Sure- no. Encourages a spammy behaviour, same reason why /actions have no leaderboards but instead they have a limit to how many you can do in 5 seconds (IIRC).

Make it auto-enable if you type F4F. We can bike ram all the famers.

I like the idea of running down Famers. It should also replace their speech bubble with "Ow!"

You have to wait 5 seconds for each person you ran over in a row after you stop before you can repeat this action.
