I want to keep my starting armor. It should be Ultra Rare and unsellable.
Please give it to everyone who came before omega.

Suggestion: You get a notice of a new armor immediately after exiting the what's new section after logging in.

EDIT: Misread information, and retire it.

I was hoping they would do something like this with the basic armor. Can't wait to start using it with the basic/apprentice primary weapons.

OH...MAN that looks cool.

i hope you can wear that base armour over normal armours. that looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than any armour i have.

@Hun I think the devs will leave a complete list as a surprise for Omega but maybe one of the upcoming DN's will list a few

One Winged Angel1357, They can discuss it here since they added to the original list so that players can be more prepared for Omega and the competition instead of waiting a day before the release to try to be clarification of what each does.

Which would you rather see happen discuss it here/today, wait a week, or the day before the release?

When they do discuss it players need to realize everything in Omega will be Over Powered if they think it is Over Powered.

I hope this is worth the wait. Havent played ED for 1 year and a half because I cant keep up with the varium players. Even though I'm a founder.

I was also bummed that when they release the beta gear it was right away useless, hope I can use the beta gear again.

Names and the function of each skill core need to be discussed before Omega since the release is around the corner but to add the changes to the skills and skill trees, stat progression, and the equations of how much will they be changed?

We could go OOh and Aww all we want over the excellent art work from the staff but Art work is not what drives the game or helps you win battles or wars it what lies behind the skills and stats. We already know the changes to energy and health to make players choose between high health and energy over high stats but the rest of the information have not been released.

Skill trees will not be changed in the initial release.

Omega 1.0 is effectively a testing phase, regardless of what you are led to believe. Things will be very imbalanced at the start due to a lack of manpower and time.

Xendran, All of Omega is a testing phase and does not matter what will be released at what time things need to be discussed before the launch and if they got some information about the skill trees and the skills than it is better than no information. Which would you rather do go into Omega blind or have a better sense of all things that is changing or will change more in detail then they have.

I don't think you understand the purpose of my post.
The purpose of my post is to point out to players that Omega 1.0 is essentialy the Alpha of the Omega phase, so things are not going to be balanced properly before it is released, and the devs are going to be aware of the fact that it is imbalanced.
This means that a lot of constructive feedback is going to be required.

My post is an information post for other players, not a feedback post.

Won't be all ship shape I admit, but player feedback about balance, suggestions etc should correct any issues that may arise balance wise when Omega is launched.

I'm actually glad that they're releasing it before balancing it, because it gives them a LOT more testing power.

And what better way to get people active and testing than a two week long competition :P

Why should the players be forced to test the game for balance? It only hurts the people who pay in the long run. We all know what happens from gere on out. The Devs will release a bunch of overpowered untested skills. After the 2 week period, they're going to nerf them, which in turn will cause the people to either class change or buy even more unnecessary skills.

Two things are happening at the same time Frysteland War (Exile Uprising) and the release of Omega then on the 3rd day the Gold Yeti Competition begins, should the players be forced to be in game testers being caught off guard with unannounced changes (just like what happened with the nerf to the Plasma Cannon) or should the players be given details of all changes that happened or will happen in the future especially if it happens during the war or competition.

When it comes to war, a General never sends the troops into battle unprepared and uninformed.

Angels as some tester(I believe it was Lycus but I'm not sure) pointed out awhile back it would take the Dev's and testers ages to do all the testing that the players do. There are 16 testers and if they tested for say 40 hours a week that would be 640 man hours of testing. At the time of posting this there are 1343 players online if they played for half an hour that would be more man hours of testing, 31.5 man hours more, than the testing team pulling a 40 hour week testing. This is why the Dev's have the players do some of the testing otherwise this month wait for a release would be a year wait for a release while the Dev's test it to "perfection".

@above the thing is most players cannot be trusted, they will give different answers and will only want to benefit their fav class or skills.

But then again, even if they did it wouldn't come perfectly balanced and you would still have buy more unnecessary skills. Plus, it is not like nerfing would mean the total death of that skill core, on how useful it is and how strong. The purpose just changes and we have to learn a way to use it.

I'm interested in how skill cores will work. As in, can you buy one once and equip it to multiple items or just the one and can you switch them out or is it permanent.

Then we got the players that just stick with a 5 focus build just using bots and no skills that says the class is just fine that no improvements need to be done or you got the class hoppers that has no loyalty to any class just to see nerfs after nerfs out of some irrational pleasure. Then we got the players that looks for what classes and build gaining a lot of wins to abuse it until it gets nerfed and when it does not get nerfed they switch class and complain how OP it is and it needs to be nerfed right away. Then you got the ones that switch classes test something for 5 matches claiming things are just fine than switch classes again when everyone should know it takes more than 5 matches.

When a player is a loyal class player no matter what version of the class they use they know more when something is wrong then the above type of players.

Who would you trust more with results the loyal class players or the non loyal class hopper players that is ut to either destroy the game or the class?

ED Prince of Shadows has a good question that has not yet to be answered by the staff which should be answered before the launch and to add to it, will we have to fork out credits or varium every time we have to retrain the weapon?

This is why we have the battle tracker it does not show favoritism unless it was programmed to do so. It is a given that of those 1343 players that were online when I made my post not all of them have a forums account for one reason or another. Also something we were told on the old forums and t may have been brought up on this forums a few times as well, when you want to make a balance post add some mathematical proof when it is possible. It makes a stronger case about your balance complaint and if it is just an issue with the math making it OP'd some suggested or tested math could be the fix.

One thing that makes this game really interesting when you look at it in an abstract light is that we are just playing with a digital calculator.
