When you get a connection lost from your internet, it counts as a lose.

It should be the other way round.

When you get a connection lost from your internet, it shouldn't count as a lose neither a win.

As much as I would like to support this not supported. The system can't tell the difference between runners and disconnects. This would only promote people to run from battle whenever they felt like it without consequence.

I hate when this happens.
I hope in Omega they will make a cookie system where if you get a disconnection and log back in you will still be in battle.

I wish they implant this, but as mother said, players would take advantage of this :/

Can't they make two separate files.

One for Connection lost.
When it says that you have a connection lost it should redirect you to a 'No loss' neither a 'win' for your character

And for for the Runners.
When you run out of the battle, it should redirect you to a 'lose'.

I'm sure you can do this as I do Computing (complicated stuff) my self.

Just because mother said that they could take advantage of it which is true, doesn't mean the devs can make 2 separate files:
-One for a lose.
-Neither a lose & win.

I've seen other games like this
e.g. Gaia

When you battle somone in ZOMG and you leave, it doesn't count to your battle record.
And if a runner leaves, it counts to your battle record.

Same with BO2 (Black Ops 2)

I'm sure the devs can do this, if they are experienced at it, they should know how to programme with two separate files.
I think this task would be easy for the devs.

If mother says they can't do this, prove it to me because I'm sure your a 'know it all'.
And experienced at what the staff do.

^ Theirs no way to differentiate a connection lost and tab closed, even if they did manage to make a diff, then players would just remove their net connection ...

Players would just take advantage of this, when they are about to lose all they need to do is to unplug the internet cable and disconnect.

above ^^

Try removing your net right now and do it how many times ^^.
You will see what happens when you keep removing your net every day, go try it and tell me if your net is destroyed.

P.S.

Who would do keep off-ing there internet, its just stupid.

Yeah I agree with you, its like dashboarding on xbox just for the game but:

If you trying it and keep off-ing your net, it should get destroyed easily. I've done this on one game and my BT turned Red (Normally all my lights should be blue) but it turned red because I kept turning off/on the internet.

Just keep turning off your internet, it should get damaged.

And who would be so dumb to turn off their internet just to get 'no loss' record?

Sounds like something hard to do. And people see you gone then you just reappear and go bang? What about if the battle's finished?

Many other online games manage to have a reconnect feature, I dont see why ED cant.

Even if it takes a lot of work, I would say time well spent.

And if you reconnect and the game was over it would just reconnect you to a defeat screen.

Because many online games =/= ED? ED is coded differently to them.

^ amazingly every online game is coded differently to each other as-well..... :O

This does not mean ED cant make a code to add a reconnect feature...

Especially when the style of game means disconnects have a rather big impact in the long run.

Overall I would say at least 300 plus loses from disconnecting.

Disconnecting caused by your own ISP are your issue, ones caused by the game are likely to be fixed since they are bugs or associated with lag.

And so what if they are coded differently to each other (your examples)? You thought of ED engine not being able to support it? Or perhaps such feature being.. pointless? If it's your ISP, you're to blame. If it's ED then it'll get fixed. You make it sound like coding such feature is easy. If it was, why wasn't that done in Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta or now in Omega? Perhaps the Engine doesn't support it? Some games don't support certain features because it's impossible hence making things limited.

@ remorse

A reconnect feature would be giving the disconnecting team an unfair advantage in many situations. The only way I could think of this feature being fair is if the duel was put on hold at the point the person disconnected but that would hold up duels and hurt players in the process. Otherwise it would be giving an unfair advantage in some causes to the person who got disconnected Especially if that person was disconnected with near full health, and they come back when their opponents are nearly beaten.

^ What I was assuming is the body remains their to be attacked,

If they disconnect and it becomes their turn they simply take up their turn and if they dont reconnect in time they skip their turn when the time runs out.

They dont disappear or anything.

Also pretty sure the other artix games has some sort of recconecting mechanism.

Though im not too sure.

@ Trans,

Yes it may not be in the battle mechanics,

Niether of us no if they can do it or not, but you shouldn't shun ideas based on the fact the devs MIGHT not be able to add it on not.

They can determine that, all we can do is support idea we think will improve the game.

Blaze, you were wrong about your BO2 example. Leavings counts as a loss. And when someone else leaves, they get a loss, but you still have to beat their team.
