I'm still playing a focus BH, which for the most part seems successful against everything save support techies (trashing my resistance, smoke, and bot all in one fell swoop ono) So long as my bad luck didn't rear it's ugly head, I can reliably beat str builds.

I feel a little proud of it as it is my first decent build I was able to make entirely by myself, and I even had a few people copy me. I started with a 9heal, 4smoke, and max emp with an energy sword, but with Omega, since I'm not limited to the sword, I can use my harvest reapers and have a 7heal, 7smoke, and level 1 cheapshot or reflex, whichever suits the fight better.

I'm pretty cheerful and I'm not afraid to admit when I win entirely by luck, I usually let people know when I think they are skilled or should have won.
I have a bit of an issue when it comes to prolonged bad luck combined with the throwing of "noob" around. Misuse of the term aside, if someone insults me, I wish they would do it in an accurate and witty fashion. Hearing the same poor insult over and over makes me fight with the censor ;w;

Here's something that surprised, and sort of annoyed me at the same time.

I'm sticking with the exact same build as I've been sticking with, but I lost with it to a Level 30 who was abusing Support.

When he had me at low HP, he told me to "Get another build."
I replied "No", and upon beating me, he replied "Yes".

I personally refuse to radically change my build just because of unbalanced play that will get fixed in the future. It's simply not worth it in my eyes.

 Or the credits don't forget the credits it costs to retrain.

Like I said in my first post I have used the same build since Beta some people crush the build and tell me to change others tell me it is a good build. Builds work differently against other builds so one guy abusing a build might beat you but another guy using a different build might not stand a chance against you

If it gets me easier wins, and improves my win/lose ratio, then I'll use any build even stat abuse builds. I do whatever it takes to win, except ya know cheating or trying to trick someone into pressing F5. Those are cowardly tactics.

I don't know If I can have an OP build as a TLM, str builds don't seem to work for me and I can't think of a OP solution, so i'm just trying with a balanced build, with so-so results.

My build prior to Omega was mainly either TM focus or Malf Mage. Now I 'abuse' tech to use a caster. Dignified? I have no idea, but it was the first of 3 builds I used since Omega. Made some alterations to it.

As a CH I started out with a focus tank build at the beginning of Omega, then noticed that I kept losing, tried to still "Duel with Dignity" but after trying basically every build possible besides str and losing 80% of the time, gave up and started using a str build, because I really can't stand losing badly again and again. It's no fun.

I can honestly say that I didn't copy anyone's build though. No other CH has a lvl 7 heal with str that I've seen.

^ This 100 times over, strength abusers forced me into using a strength build = __ = I still maintain my very high health I just had to sacrifice my support points and put them into health.

Regardless of my losses, I refuse to use a str massacre build, I had it for at least six months and it is such a boring build, smoke, strike(now pumpkin), gun, and massacre, rinse and repeat. No thought, no tactics, no adapting to a different situation. You can only stick to the same few buttons over and over again.

I love my focus build, I smoke when I want to, I robot, pumpkin, gun or aux when I want to, I heal and reflex when I feel the time is appropriate, it so much more fun, and actually requires thought. It requires you to use your ability to know when to do what for the best result and not the same four turn repetitive dance.

Not to mention the fact that the odds of surviving for more than five turns against a str mass hunter is so low, that it makes you feel kinda dirty to use it, dun it?

It's very unlikely that people will have the exact same build, with all the possible variables. However, they can be generalized pretty easily. For example, the most popular cyber hunter build I've seen lately is 5 support w/ about 5 malfunction. Their goal it malf and then just strike.

Welcome to the strength build meta, strength used to be easily counter because the build gave up luck to gain damage, but now with how stupid the game mechanic works, luck has little to now use against it, i see everyone running around with the same build.

I tend to duel with dignity, most of my losses are from experimental builds. The only time I stat abuse is for my faction or simply because I am frustrated.

I think this might be my favorite post ever.
In the history of the Battleon Forums.
Ever.

This is exactly what runs through my mind every battle. I make an enormous effort to stand out using unique builds. Admittedly, it does not go as well as I'd have hoped,
but it's a worth-while sacrifice to do so.
The abuse of stats is wrong. It doesn't show your skill, it shows your lack of skill. It should make you feel so dirty you need to shower when you abuse strength, more notably.
Stat abuse is for those who can't play this game properly. And to those, shame on you, it isn't very difficult.
