Actually, I did a build survey for about 200 different players in 1v1 (only good players, who were atleast level 30 and had at least a 60-40 win/loss ratio in 1v1) during delta and found out some really interesting things: -Out of 200, about 50 of the 200 were focus BM -About 45 were STR BH -21 out of 24 TLMs I fought were focus builds, 2 were non-focus tanks, and 1 was a support build -about 100 players out of the 200 were focus -about 80 out of the 200 were strength (for all classes) -Class popularity in descending order: BM, BH, TLM, TM, CH, Merc There were a bunch more of interesting facts, but that's all I need to make my point. Back then, there was really no creativity at all. Focus is a build idea given to the players by the staff (because bot damage increases with focus and there's a thing that tells you how much focus you have). Strength, while not a build given by the game makers, utilizes the most straightforward stat...strength. Strength only increases gun and primary damage (and fireball, but barely anyone uses that), while increasing pretty much nothing else such as block, deflect, crit chance, etc... I'm quite happy now that there are lots of creative builds and the amount of focus and strength builds have severely lessened...I hope it stays this way after more balance updates are released.
