Wow, you must be super unlucky with RNG, only takes me every like 5-7 battles there for him to spawn. Keep trying! He is in there somewhere :)

According to how badly your spawn rates are, I must have been REALLY lucky to have him as my first encounter and I also captured him in the same battle at Fire cave.

Really? I actually had a lot of characters which I was going to farm for, but I'm completely broke with Soul Gems.
