 Wasn't his Ice Beetle a PvP only? (EXP wise)

Ice Beetle is my PvP Main, so I only feed him the EXP of defeated and baffled foes. He'll get to level 20 one day, and the journey there will be sweet :D
Besides, I have Cosoma. So I have no desperate need for another level 20 bug right now.

About Poison Drake's raised rates: I found 7 at Rocky Pass yesterday. 6 eluded me. One triple-poisoned me, then Iron Hided, then Empowered to kill me the turn before my Shatters would have hit. Since then I'm using Minotaur for the hunt.

That Minotaur has gone from 8 to 11 on the rare beasts alone (I've been refresh-farming). And I STILL only possess Kruger. 25 Frostzards and 7 6 PDs elude me. The second Kruger I ever find gets captured...

Earth Golem's rate got boosted too? I'll get him later... Poison Drake for now.

 i use liughtnign wolf and earth golem to farm my rares they sen to be good at finding other rares.

I use whatever char I want to max out to hunt down beasts. Good for leveling, not so much for hunting.

I plan to finish all the Orc first, starting with Orc warrior and ending with Orc Peon.

Your list is just longer than mine. I'm trying to do one character from each element you see, and also at 5 levels a time. Will be a lot slower that way, but more diverse!

And nothing decent is appearing for me now. This calls for another sacrifice! Shame there's only 1 Zeuster, that one worked well

 @Van i will aboid training the rat after all if the rat is to of high lvl it will lose is basic appreciation after all people will say they lost to teh rat caus eof its lvl
