Hiya All,

Just have a few questions to put to the community about the duration of a 1v1 battle at this stage.
Currently I see it as being a kill or be killed in 3-5 turn scenario.

So,

What would be your ideal average length of battles?

What is your current average battle length and are you finding that the battles are too short?

Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?


Please don't expand on these questions too much or go off topic as the thread will be locked, what I really want to know is are the battles too short!

Hey goony,


Currently I think the game battle length is actually pretty good.


I am using a tank build and after the recent balance changes I am finding it much easier to drag out battles against the quick kill builds so since they no longer dominate without a good chance of lasting long anymore.




I can easily last 7+ round any builds providing they dont crit every turn :P


My build aside,

I prefer long battles, Usually I find that the longer the battle the more fair luck will be.


In short battles it's to quick often to average out the luck amount to give a closer estimate to what the luck chance should be for each player.





Skill core have potential enough to either further extend battle with powerful defensive cores, and of coarse add power to the quick killer however I would hope that the devs steer towards more defensive style cores.

I say 8-10 rounds is perfect. I fought a 46 round match and it was terrible. Just healing and...healing and healing.



Are you finding the current battles too short?

YUSH I LOVE YOU!!! OO__OO They are way too short. Being called a noob for making the battle longer and people flaming you for it is unbelievable.



Does luck play too much of a role in the length of the battles?
Hmmm. Crits are happening a lot more than usual, buuuutttt....I don't know.

1.) 10+ turns so I can do a truckload with my Android.

2.) Yes, too many massacre BH/CH's

3.) WAY WAY WAY WAY too much of a role.

Bonus points if critical.

1. My minimum is 4 turns

2. For me the battles aren't that short, more like they take too long for my build

3. Luck is just too much for me. I fought a bh who didnt invest in supp but crit me every turn

And you should also make a endurance mode that has both players with doubled hp/ep

Yes, fights are too short.

Yes, luck plays a major role, because fights are too short so you can't usually compensate a block - there isn't enough time for it.

Fights should last 10+ rounds. But that means heavy modifications of current classes, because classes without reroute tend to become much weaker after depleting their energy pool.

Hence for making fights last longer I believe that all classes should have some form of mana regen - like a fixed 5 energy points per round.

Yep.

Does luck play too much of a role in the length of the battles?

Right now? Heck yes. I'd say in a 10 round battle, 2-3 luck modifications would be alright, but now battles last 6 turns, and half of it is shifting due to luck.

Its pretty good, but a little to short.

Yes. A really big role.

A Really big Role (Way To Big)
For Example: I had that time 93 dex and fought these 20 dex CHs with max sa, and I got blocked atleast once in each fight (Without Me Blocking once atleast) of the 15 battles I did vs these players with 20 dex.

What would be your ideal average length of battles?
My current is about 5 or 6. I would like it to be longer since there is more strategy involved to survive while dealing damage. The definate amount I don't know since I keep changing my mind but my magic number right now is 11.

Yes, the battles are very short. My battles (Delta) would be over 10 rounds long since there was really strategy involved rather than luck and the stupid Cores.

Does luck play too much of a role in the length of the battles?
I'd have to say its over than what I'd hope it to be. I am noticing a lot of criticals so I bought the Nanosteel Armor so I am protected but there is an average of 2 or so against me a battle.


I am noticing a lot of people being called a "noob" on Facebook and in-game. Most of the time the name callers have an unbalanced build so really who is the noob here? I am hoping that rather than luck taking over the game, Omega to be strategic. Wasn't Omega supposed to be rather a stat based phase?

Thanks for the replies so far :)

I changed the question about the battles being too short to include current battle length as a lot were including that information. It's good to get an idea of what players are currently dealing with.

Yep, it appears to be a quick affair. Akin to Beta in a way. Depends who goes first, you fight some predictable merc tank etc. Throw in Azrael weps, over pretty quick. The other day, because i was being tactical and, i hope by now know what I'm doing, some guy got really frustrated. It was quite amusing. Quick battles without the old humor seems to be the nature of things now. It's just a shame people appear to take this game to seriously these days...

Yes a VERY big role. Starting first can mean ALOT...Not too mention there are way to many crits and blocking now...

I would say each mode should aim towards 10 rounds, this way 2 unfortunate RNG moments are only 20% of the fight.

2V2 is all over the place, sometimes you get >20 round tank fights = not fun.

Around 10, BL has done its job then, probably blocked twice due to Ninja reflexes, Shadow arts and 82 dex

I dont call it luck when you got SA, NR, 82 dex and the opponent -32 dex when i block them.
Crits however, can be game deciding..

Ideally, I think battles should last anywhere between five and twenty turns. Any less and I would fear the losing party didn't have much of a chance at all, any more and I would be getting anxious, especially during power hour.

I usually see battles lasting between 3 and 8 turns. As a focus build focused mostly on tech with +10 phys armor, I would hope to last at least ten turns, but that doesn't happen often anymore.

I personally find that Luck does not favor the prepared. she often seems to side with the person that is going for the quick kill, and abandons the person using strategy.
It seems those two are rarely found in the same place

Ideal battle length- IDK.
Average battle length- I do 2vs2, so usually around 5. Can reach 10 sometimes, though.
How long they should last- IDK, sometimes I like the quick kill, other times I like having a tank vs. tank sort of thing- 3 damage, one after another. Gives me more time to think.
Luck favors those who have support and those who you don't expect to kill you.

1vs1 about 10 rounds. 2 vs 2 littlebit more. juggernault is totally? (depends low lvl players against juggernault)

Now is rarely good strategia. Full attacks and hoping wins. 2-5 rounds usually 1 vs 1.
2vs2 is more but i seen some battles what is only 6-8 rounds.(too fast 2vs2)That ismy opinion.

Maybe we could remove the go-first aspect from support and just a a "roll dice" button at the beginning of every match to determine who goes first?

Depends what build I use. I think with a tank build you should be able to have 10-12 turn battles, but if I want fast kills it should be possible to resolve battles in an average of 5-6 turns.

It's hard to say that battles are "too short" since all rewards in the game are based on sheer number of wins you get and nothing else. But really I'm fine with how long battles are now.

Yes. I like luck factors and think they're important in deciding what kind of risks you want to take. (i.e. you could have a low risk/low return or high risk/high return build based on your personality.) However it is possible they play a little too much of a role.

Average length is actually pretty good at around 7-ish.

Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?
Yes, too many blocks, deflects and criticals. But before you take all this advice to mind, do NOT decrease these unless you can find a way to still make it a major advantage for strength and support abusers.
