Hello EpicDuelists.

I would like to talk (read: type) about weapon requirements.

Here goes.

I think there should be a standard for weapon requirements. So, here goes.

Heal - N / A
Basics (Double Strike, CheapShot, Bludgeon) - Specifics
Shields and Buffs - N / A
Multis - N / A
Ultimates - Specifics
Passives - N / A
Poison - Specifics
Stuns - N / A
EP Drains / Steals - Specifics
Debuffs - N / A
Other (Static, Frenzy) - N / A

Support? Anything I forgot? Discuss.

With multi's making them have specific items would be nerfing all of them. As it stands now all multi's can be used with either a class specific weapon or a sword so I don't agree with that one.

However with energy drains which you didn't mention specifics would be good. Especially with EMP. It is crazy how the most powerful energy draining move in the game can be used without one however the others which can be blocked and are weaker need specific weapons.

EP steals is on there - means energy drains.

I forgot about the 85% damage multis nerf. Changing that.

No. First off, the animations wouldn't make sense for several of these. Why do I need a club to throw a grenade? Why do I need a club to use a Walky-Talky? Why do I need claws to throw an EMP Grenade? Secondly, the staff want some diversity to skills. They will not sacrifice diversity in order to make balance changes. They do not want every skill to be the same as another. That's why Venom Strike does more initial damage but less DoT while Poison Grenade does less initial damage but more DoT.

Why do I now need claws to kick someone and strike (Cheap Shot)? Why do I need a club to use Atom Smasher and Frenzy? Of course, some don't make sense, but if worse comes to worse, they could change the animations.

I know too many ways they can. Add new ultimates, change requirements / animations, etc.
