This release is bad. Let me indicate that this is practically "New Characters" with the fact that at least 2 of them are only gotten by obtaining other previously released characters. Also, let me note that they did not acknowledge anything regarding bugs or typos (*Incinerate* does not cost 6 FIRE). All this does is add a couple of characters to a game that already has way too many characters for its age. There have been no added incentives to PVP; this release is drawing people away from PVP and into PvE again, separating the community due to the constant need to farm characters. This isn't taking into account how many of these new characters are going to end up on people's trophy collections due to the fact that they might be useless in comparison to other characters. The biggest factor of this release's failure is the fact that it is the exact same thing they have been doing for the past weeks! A game that is trying to mix PVP and PvE ultimately is ignoring PvP and not doing much for the progression of PvE. There are no "PvP Dungeons" were you could hunt for New Characters while under the constant threat of random PvP battles with another. There is no incentive to PvP as the game is inclined to farming which is best done in PvE. The farming itself is barely good. So many characters have so many similar playstyles and to max each character takes like...forever, if you don't count evolutions! We, as a community, have already determined what are the best characters for so-and-so, there is no point in New Characters as this adds worthless data for the moment! No one will use any WATER characters in a competitive scheme because Water Elemental is one of the top characters. As of the moment, adding New Characters is like adding more classes than necessary to any other game: If I have a Warrior, Mage and Rogue class, why add a Warrior (2) class when I already have the simple Warrior which is the same thing with minute differences? You may say: "The differences matter!", but what when CC comes out? Like, when CC comes out, these "differences" won't matter because any character can be customized, so it makes similar characters even similar, even more when people find the "Top-tier build" that means everyone is going to use it, which makes all new characters pointless. If anything, they are being used as excuses to unlock shops that may or may not have something better. New Characters are fine and all, but with at max 10 of each type of character, you could effectively have occupied all effective playstyles said element could have, maybe less with the fact you got CC. E. Resistances aren't going to change this unless we start getting some more multi-elemental characters. Currently, most characters only have like 2 elements, with a couple having 3, but what makes them multi-elemental isn't so special considering most consist of "Sacrifice" and/or 2 secondary elemental cards that include 1 charging skill and one actual skill (See "Poison Drake"). This game won't go anywhere with New Characters until we start getting introduced to some more unique characters, which in this case would be multi-elementals (later it can be unique cards). We aren't going anywhere except being forced to farm for practically the same characters we already have! When will we start getting Chaos or large elemental characters that have decks compromising of all elements? I mean, there are better ways to go about farming. Instead of having us go around finding characters, why can't we just traverse a dungeon? Dungeons aren't too bad! Put in the new/good characters as bosses and put in maybe a cookie-cutter character or 2 (like some of them generics we keep getting?). Who actually likes being forced to farm every release for something? TL;DR: Adding New Characters is subtracting from PvP, forcing farming on PvE and adding practically nothing good to the game right now...
