An April Fools Tale: Storm the Dracoglin
Scene: Darkovia, midnight. Storm Silverwing walks intently through the forest.
The young man was surprisingly casual about strolling through Darkovia. His white-and-green robes were coated in dirt, and his long yellow hair was tangled. He had clearly been traveling for some time. After a moment of walking in silence, he arrived in a clearing. The entire area was illuminated by the eternally-full moon, and it was apparently entirely empty. The man, one Storm Silverwing, sat down in the clearing, apparently waiting for something. Several minutes passed. Then, a white-haired man emerged from the forest, flanked by a Dracoglin.
"Ahem."
"Hello, Donovan."
"Skip the pleasantries. What do you want?"
"Charming as ever, I see. I'm calling in that favor you owe me."
"Fine. This had better not be anything outrageous."
"I want to be transformed."
"Into a Dracopyre? Let's get this over with."
Donovan transformed into his own Dracopyric form, and stepped towards Storm. However, Storm held out his hand, gesturing Donovan to stop.
"What is it now?"
"I don't want to be transformed by you."
"What? What do you want, then!?"
"By him."
Storm pointed at the Dracoglin standing behind Donovan, and it turned towards Donovan questioningly. Donovan himself was staring at Storm incredulously.
"Really? You're rejecting my power in favor of that?"
"If you don't like it, then leave. But I'll spread the word that you do not like returning favors to those who aid you, and we'll see what that does to your reputation."
"Or I could just kill you now. However, I am feeling generous, so I will humor you. Bite him."
The Dracoglin shrugged and walked over to Storm. Storm gestured to his neck, and the Dracoglin sunk its teeth into it. After a moment, it released and backed away. Storm fell over, unconscious, and Donovan and the Dracoglin flew away.
Hours later, Storm awoke. He stood up slowly, and noticed that his eyes were much closer to the ground than he remembered. He held up his hands, which were brown and furry. Then, he reached up and felt his ears, which were now incredibly long. He looked back, and noticed that he had wings and a tail. He grinned and began laughing to himself.
"Hee hee! I can't wait until the people back in Battleon see this!"
Suddenly, he heard a growl behind him, and stopped laughing immediately. He looked backwards slowly, and saw an Alpha Werewolf. It snarled and swiped at him, knocking him forwards onto his face, and leaving long gashes in his back. The Werewolf picked him up in one claw, and glared at him. Suddenly, however, a white glow surrounded Storm, and his injuries healed instantly. The Werewolf stumbled backwards, temporarily blinded by the light. Storm freed himself from its claw and leaped forwards, clawing viciously at the Werewolf's face. It pulled Storm off after a minute, and stared at him. Storm took one step towards it, and it turned and fled. Storm smiled to himself.
"I'm adorable AND awesome! This is great!"
