Ironhide doesn't block reflected damage from Void Reflection; if it does for you, that's a bug.
If the Dragon was able to continuously use Void Reflection the Monk would be hard pressed to win, since it doesn't have any piercing attacks and relies almost exclusively on Direct Attacks.
That has been my experience, anyway; I'd need to fight against another Monk to check though...

Monk got Cat Reflex. So IH + Cat Reflex should do the trick (it takes some time, but eventually the BD would die).

BD is OP in lower levels but rather weak in higher level.

In my experience, the Monk can't draw Cat Reflex fast or reliably enough to damage a level 20 BD faster than a BD can Life Drain/Shield.
But I've only fought a few competent VR Shadow users before so I don't really have that much to draw on.
Like I said, if anyone else has a level 20 Black Dragon/Darkon/Reaper/Revontheus or Monk, I'd be happy to test this theory with them.

Like Beck said, you shouldn't be able to block against reflected damage with any defensive card. If you are doing so, then please be sure to report it in the =OS- Monster and Combat Related Bugs section.

I would, only I don't have a level 10 VR user right now, and anything of a higher level would not make a fair match...
The best is if we test this theory with maxed out leveled Monks and VR users, since we've already established that Black Dragon (for example) is weakest at high levels.

Ok you know what? I'm just going to stop dueling with Monk for a while. I keep getting the same 2 people who use like level 10-14's, and I'm starting to feel like a bully xP

Valkyrie XVIII, I dunno who you are and I can't seem to ever be in the same lobby as you, but thanks for the long series of battles! It's a nice change from the tourney, where 90% of my opponents were BDs, HHM, or Witch/LoveWeaver, FC, etc.

Congrats, bei4! The Monk is definitely one of the best characters, and leveling him is totally worth it.

Hahah anytime, did you log out? I can't find you in pvp, keep getting this level 9 Vampire lord and this Horseman glitcher, I finally got to see that nasty 1600 damage, beat me 3 times using it blegh.


Edit : Hey don't forget about Lance Knight, he kicks just as much butt ! I diffidently need to increase my stopping level to 16, lots of level 20 players I can't give a fair run to. Well, using my Witch gets really old.

dont know why but everytime i fight valkyrie i get exited
probably because iv been fighting him a lot since the start of this game

edit: and hes the first person i dueled in oversoul

I try my best to level as many characters around 12 ~ 15 as possible to keep the matches fresh. I love fighting the same person repeatily cause it gives me a chance to use all my characters.

@ Bei

Muahhaha I fought you before, I can't ever forget that random high level burn mage.


Edit : Kinda stinks I can't match people with level 20s, there is no middle grounds, when you level yourself too high you alienate yourself from most players who stop around 10, and when you're at 10 you're vulnerable to 20s muhahaha !

usually lvl 8 to 13 is a good place to be at for pvp

Guys, NEVER have a Rev Egg vs. Monk duel. Just... don't. They NEVER end.

@below
lol my Rev Egg did but only because the duel had dragged on for 30 min+ and the other guy charged at my 6,200 VRs out of sheer exasperation.

Oh yes I have. My worst duel ever: Ice Beetle vs. Water Tick. It was a completely impossible match, because Water Tick doesn't have high enough attack to kill Ice Beetle's shields, and Ice Beetle can't attack fast enough to beat Water Tick's heals.
Utterly and completely horrible match-up. Never try it.

Or bust out the SGs. Whatever's easiest at the time.

@Beck do you know where Orc Rogue spawns a lot I've been to most of the place on the wiki but i haven't found him.

All I know for sure is that Orc Rogue is not in the Solace-PvE. Just try any clearing on the map; he'll show up eventually. (Took like 100 battles for me...)
