If you had bought cards from the series before it went seasonal you can still use them. You just cant buy more of them until it comes back.

How rare is the Treasure Chest Trap? I'm in its exact location, I keep exploring and it doesn't pop up.

IMO, its 60% rare of encountering TC. You will need luck or hope that the RNG will be kind to you. Good luck searching TC.

Wow, I'm really not lucky! xD
I've killed at least 10+ monsters in hopes of spawning TC.
Thank you! I'll be patient.

This is seriously taking forever. o_o
He hasn't spawned once the entire time I've been here.
By the way, what's a good character to farm with? (SGs not included)
I'm using a Barbarian (Master), at the moment. Really the only one I've used, so far.
I want to max her out, but it takes ages just to level up between 7 and 10!

A character that can deal alot of dmg in no time.

Fire characters (mainly Pyre Witch if you don't want to use SG)

@Alanza: Pure Damage characters are good to farm with, mainly Shadow and Fire. Don't worry about defense, charge to 14/19 then attack. Monsters are too easy.
Level 7-10 is 42 battles (Without boosts). Level 1-10 is 80 battles. Level 10-15 is 156. Level 15-20 is 370. Level 1-20 is 606 battles. Wikidot EXP Table.

@Alanza: Burn Mage Is good too as it is Free and Can deal a lot of damage if used correctly.

 @Alanza - Flesh Void or Dark Incarnate, among other Dark offensive characters, are awesome for TC-farming. Also, don't expect to find a TC every 10 battles, that seems too optimistic lol. It's better to TC-farm at the Undead Dungeon rather than in the Minotaur Dungeon since Earth-type stunning and shield-ing characters like Stone Knight and Assassin take a slightly longer time to kill than mere Shadow types at the Undead Dungeon

Not a lot of people use Ice characters to farm since they're not as offensive as other elements btw

And like the other two mentioned, Fire types will do too

Also, sorry: How can elements have different effects on other elements that are stronger or weaker than them, when offense cards have a set damage rating?
What do they do?
And why do I have the X-Boost symbol below my health bar when I haven't bought one?

@Alanza: About the elements, we don't know how. Elemental Resistance hasn't been added yet.

About the X-Boost symbol, it must be a graphical bug. Clear your cache and see if it goes away. This is how to clear you cache. Good Luck! :D

QUESTION: I came to Oversoul just as Abber was going rare, and I really wanted to catch him. Is he now an ultra-rare, or will he make a return?
Also, what is the average chance to catch a char without using the gems? I only have one left, no money, and I'm saving it for an ultra-rare Shadow card that I'm going to want (No, it doesn't exist yet, but I always save some gem(s) in case one is made that I want) eventually show up.

 Aberrant the Exiled will return in the near future as it was a Halloween character.

As for a recommendation on a nice shadow character, I'd go for Arch Lich! You may also be able to possess
him without using a Soul Gem if you're lucky!

1. I am fairly sure he is a seasonal Halloween rare
2. Catch rate depends on the character
3. You can't buy singular cards.

The soulgem is best saved for being 100% of catching that character you have been hunting for 23 weeks as it has no other uses.

@Scherzo & necro rouge: Thanks guys! I will try for Arch Lich once I get the game to stop glitching out (I'm too impatient to let the game load the turns properly :P).

Definitely getting Abber once he shows back up. Gotta love the Pyramid-Head-style design!

Any more advice for a new Shadow Card user? I've found that generally I'll either use a Vamp-Lord usually, and either Rainbowtheus or Sprout for when I really need to kill something... Geez, I just realized that I'm better at most light cards than shadow cards \(^_^)/

Orc Chieftain and Ogre Mage are both hard to get as they require hard to possess characters + 100k Gold.
Seraph and the Amazon are also hard to get.

Well, Seraph is harder to find than anything, and just has a relatively low chance of being caught.

Also, I just tried for the Lich since the last reply I made here, and no luck.

1st try: Found a bat
2nd-6th try: died to samurai/vamp-knight
7th try: died to lich.

I got the WORST hand possible to start with, and it cost me the whole fight.
I started with 2 100-damage cards, 2 pierce cards, and one holy might, and never got a shield card... By the time I died, he still had 1300/2900 health, and somehow could use nothing but 500+ attacks every turn.

Anyways, besides me ranting, my question is the same: Any good char to use against the Lich? For light I got Rainbowtheus and the Veteran Paladin.

You definitely shouldn't use a character with 100 damage cards to fight a boss. Preferably you can use something with 2 iron hides in its deck so it can block poisons and marks of death.

It is not a bug, it is just part of the graphic since right now it is a non functioning button/equipment slot, it shows up on everyone's screen even if they don't even have any lifetime boosts.
