Here's my review about Epicduel:
What is Epicduel?: Epicduel is a pvp game. Before it merges with AE Epicduel is developed by Epic entertaiment. Epicduel offers hours and never ending of gameplay, 3 different modes. Hundred of mission and Npc, achievement, events, items and many more. Here is the review:
Gameplay: At first, you are tasked to choose one of the three many classes. tech Mage, Mercenary and Bounty Hunter, each with its on unique skill. After choosing your class, you could customize your character. Then you start playing epicduel.
Mode 1vs1: You fight your opponent. Though simple, this game will require strategy and the correct timing.
2vs2: This mode requires you to cooperate with your partner and you must use correct strategy to win.
Juggernaut: You fight 2 enemies alone. This mode may seem hard but you face 6-10 lvl lower than you. Also award more credits,exp and battle tokens.
Overall of mode: 9.0/10. This three mode is good even though because of unbalance in skills, make the rating lower.
Achievement: This is one of the feature that is really fun and addicting. To buy achievement you must collect tokens from battling/mission. There is also phase, seasonal and event achievment which usually award for rating points.Overall:10/10 Achievement is really good in this game and really fun, so I shall rate this:10/10.
Skill tree: Skill tree is one of the most important feature of Epicduel. You could customize your own skill within your level range, allowing different build to be created. Stats also have effect. One of the cons in skill tree is that some skills are Too Overpowered, while some are also Underpowered. Class also suffer them both. However with the balance and patch updates, in time skills and class will be balanced.Overall:8,5/10: Skill tree could use some more tweaking for the reason above. However for now skill tree is really fun and good to use. So even though it is not perfect, I will give it 8.5/10.
Stats: Ah stats, one of the most important things in the game. Right now stats are categorized to 4 types: Strength. Strength calculates your weapon damage, gun/sidearm and some skills. Combined with the power of some other stats, you power will be undefeatable!
Dexterity: Dexterity raises you blocking chance,increase your defence and increase power of some skills. To be honest, dex are one of the most annoying thing in the game. It raises your block chance which is deadly if it active.It also increase power of some skills such as multi shot which could kill 2 opponent at once.
Technology: Increase your energy defence(as opposite to defence by dex) which is handy if you fight enemy using energy weapons, increase your robot damage which is helpful to go for extra damage,increase deflection chance which will lower damage of some skills and also sidearm and aux and also enchance certain skills such as smokescreen for bounty hunter.
Support: One of the most deadliest stat of the game: Increase the chance of the player to go first,increase your aux damage which have higher damage than other weapons, increase rage rate to gain extra damage, increase crit chance which also deal extra damage, reduce rate to be stunned on certain skill such as Plasma Grenade which is the skill of Cyber hunter and increase some skill effect such as: artillery strike which is the skill of both Mercenary and Tactical mercenary.
Focus: While it is not a actual stat, focus increase your robot damage. How to gain more focus?: Focus is capped at 5 focus and to do so you must have equal stat. To have 5 focus you must have 45 in each stat except in hp and ep.
Stat overall: 8.0/10 because of some inbalance in stat.
Evolved class: Evolved class is obtained by class changing. To do so you must pay 900 varium which is the premium currency of the game or 50.000 credits. These class are fun and strong to use but are not guaranteed to be more stronger than the basic class.Overall: 9.5/10 These new class give a new gameplay and a new strategy and new skills that their original class don't have with the exception of the ultimates which is currently the same but the developer will come out with new ultimates for the evolved class. So 9.5/10
Credits: Credits is the basic currency of the game. Almost anything could be buy for credits with the exception of credits,exp and battle tokens booster which is available for varium. Credits also allow one to create a faction/clan for 15.000 credits. You could also buy cores with credits. To earn credits, one must fight npc with the limit of 100 times a day. However to earn credit faster try to pvp as it award more credit than npcing. Also if you play in Power hour you earn 2x credits,exp and battle token. Overall: 9.5/10 Because credit allow you to buy almost anything and is gained for free.
Varium: The premium currency of epicduel. It allow you to buy promo pack which is really strong and usually have a core inserted in the promo. However if you want to buy promo with credits/varium without buying the promo simply wait for next year. Varium also have another advantage: You could buy anything faster rather than buying it with credits. The highest varium package which usually comes with a promo is the 10.000 Varium package for 50$. However a free player that wishes not to buy varium doesn't really have a significant advantage.Overall:10/10 because varium give many advantage while keeping in optional.
Cores: One of the most important feature of the game. Cores allow you to have a unique ability. There are 3 ways of buying a cores: Buy it in the basic core shop which include non rare cores, buy the item which contain a core directly but usually more expensive than normal item and have a unique core and buy a promo. Promo is usually very powerful with unique core and can be be buy next year with varium/Credits.Overall:8.5/10. Cores is really fun and nice to use. It also add more strategy to the game though the core may be OP/UP.
Graphics: The graphics it self is really good. As the theme of ED is Scifi, the developer of the game has really make a beautiful theme in battle and outside battle. However for a while the graphics may be repetive and boring but new graphics/theme will come out.Overall:8.0/10 because graphics is pretty good even though the graphics may be repetitive at some point.
Sound: This may be the most cons in Ed. The sound itself is limited with music only come in some event. However the developers of ED really try hard to make good music.6.5/10.
Final verdict: 87.5/10= 8.75. Epicduel is pretty good gamr. It offers a nice and unique gameplay unlike other pvp game. The graphics is also pretty good. However the sound is not really that bad but not really that good either. I would suggest to play Ed as it really fun except for some weakness.-Odsey
