I have been suggesting for ages that the support merc build be adjusted, but it hasn't changed, so I've got a few ideas to make it more fair which I believe are fully implementable.

a) Make Auxillary Strike have a 2 turn warmup

b) Cap the damage of Auxillary Strike and Auxillary weapons at 60% of a persons stats, meaning that putting more than 60% of their stat points into Support will not increase their damage any further. This will also encourage them to put a little bit of thought into their build (*gasp* '"how dare they?")

c) Make Auxillary weapons have a 1 turn warm up and 3 turn cool down

d) Drastically increase the energy cost of AS

e) Base the chance of getting first strike on Focus with Support as a tie breaker. This will encourage balanced builds and all but ruin the OP Support Merc build which (imo) should never have been allowed to exist in the first place.

Some people claim that SuppMercs are easily countered but the AS damage can easily exceed 75% of a persons lifepoints, meaning that if you heal you are still left with only 25% health, if you dont, then you are dead.

Or just make the crit luck % static , not per # of SUPP advantage .

here we go again... Some mercs finally found a good build, others quickly copy it, and those who falled to it want it nerfed...
Seriously, accept, evole, move on..
Hasn't Omega punnished us enough?

bunker buster got nerfed
strength and support got nerfed
robot got nerfed
double strike and berzerker got nerfed
atom smasher and maul are blockable
people hate adrenaline
hybrid armor requires support
so not supported :/

a) Requires d) to be implemented, else a fail (They get 1st strike, use Blood Commander and start regaining health as well)
b)Great, the last thing we need is support mercs with high HP.....
c)Same as a) - They will use BC first and start regaining HP
d)This might help not only with mercs but many other builds coming up
So, only d) supported

the support build is the only decent build for a merc. it is the only way people with merc can actually have a greatly improved w/l ratio

its not, OP, it has so many flaws, if you can beat it thwn thats your fault.

It's definitely not OP, and very simple to counter.

Just because many people are using it (like azrael TM str/support) doesn't mean it's OP.

Not supported. Support merc's have so many holes and counters against them it isn't even funny.

Definitely supported. It's so OP right now or maybe my build just isn't suited to fighting support mercs.

Not supported because there are a huge amount of choices for countering them.

Whats this another suggest to make diversity gone by making the game its either you get focus build or you die

Please.. nearly ever skill on mercenary has been nerfed..
It's one build which makes them still worth playing, and it isn't even that effective, it's just quick!
If you're having trouble with support mercs then you should really take a look at your build.
Not supported.

I take it that you're not weak to every build, it sounds like you're only having problems with support mercs.

Keep in mind that everybody's weak to some build or another. For example in my current build I'm very weak to high tech mages. On the other hand, I find support mercs very easy to win against. As a matter fact I feel very confident vs. bounty hunters and cybers too.

Because your paticular build gets pwnd by support mercs doesn't mean they need a nerf.

And Mercs in no sense are all that weak I saw a merc today with an effective and innovative build. I won though because the merc didn't have generator.

Definitely do not support. Mercs are weak all ready, they need a buff more than anything.

NOT SUPPORTED Support is the only thing mercs can depend on right now. Everything else has been nerfed. If you are having trouble beating a support merc then either you are a noob, or your have no strategy.

mercenary is counterable from all classes, and its probably the only up class right now
