If i can get the devs properly listening to my ideas, i can get this fixed in a way that doesn't wreck the class.
The problem is, the devs are extremely wary of anything they do not think of themselves, regardless of quality.

I've always felt that way Xendran. They say they read the suggestions but do they not take them to heart.

I think just fixing assimilation would be the best way to handle these builds.

Assimilation - Steals a percentage of the targets current EP. Deals 85% strike damage.
Weapon required: None

12% of energy stolen
14% of energy stolen
16% of energy stolen
18% of energy stolen
20% of energy stolen
22% of energy stolen
24% of energy stolen
26% of energy stolen
28% of energy stolen
30% of energy stolen



Fixes assimilate, since as the battle goes on, the less devastating it is to the opponent and the less energy you get back.

that seems fair. so if it's maxed 30 % of 62= 18.6 energy. Plus they'd still have to plasma bolt so as not to waste it.

Note that its current energy, not max energy. So if they cast something for half their energy at the start and have 32, you'll assimilate 9.6

umm I didn't quite understand that. I thought it was based off the opponents energy not the casters energy.

thats a stereotype to assume all assim users are casters.

but anyway, its based off the enemy's energy.

at max, if your enemy has 100 energy, you steal 30.
if your enemy has 50 energy, you steal 15.

If your opponent has 63 energy you will assimilate 18.9
If your opponent has 32 energy you will assimilate 9.6
If your opponent has 0 energy you will assimilate 0

Oh please...

Just name it static charge then....

They all use assimilation with highest level... More like 7 or more..

7 level takes minimum 12 energy....

Lot lower then emp grenade...

^ Emp costs EP to use doesn't give you mana back and doesn't do any damage . Do not see how the two can be compared.

However personally i don't feel this change to assimilate is the way to go either the only thing i would change about the skill is the fact when its blocked it shouldn't still take mana.Yes i use it is it a must no most of the time i can win relatively painlessly without it most of the people that i face using it have not got a clue how to use it period. Honestly i don't find it that powerful i get combined with bolt its more useful . But again i don't feel it needs changing .

I suggesting this in another thread leading to a slight need for more points in plasma bolt
for the same effect (so u need to use less energy which will be less easily available)

Justtt adjust assimilation scaling. Base amount down a few points,
while raising the str per ep drain scaling up a lil.

Assimilation and/or plasma bolt would need a few more points as the TM would need to adjust
more str into their build to power their assimilation to a decent ep drain.

As a TM it should click on that you could benefit more from raising your str for a higher level plasma bolt
while also getting your assimilation to a decent drain of about 13 ep drain when balanced out.(after the adjustment)

Could then stay at a 100% drain/gain ratio ,because less points would be laying around to be thrown into reroute.

After reading the new design notes, I think this topic should be somewhat stopped for now. Passives turning into actives can slightly tone down the plasma bolt issue since reroute and assimilation are the main energy source for using it.
