To those who discussed why anyone should wait for PL when Taro is around:
Because PL is 2 SG cheaper to get.

Anyway, I hope we can get E.Resistance soon and chaos aswell. And PL looks kind of cooler IMO.

Since in reality it was PL that gotten Taro's deck and Taro's deck was made back in alpha where there were no ranks it is getting adjusted to reflect that.

I voted for Laken and did a random vote for story.

I still think that Art section should get two divisions: Sketch/Hand made characters and Flash characters should be in different categories due to flash being seen as superior(which is not true, both mediums require the same effort) and good sketches like Laken's are being ignored (checking votes). Maybe Asuka and Sage could suggest this to Nulgath? Would make further contests better.

Also best luck to the chosen characters.

Not that it is superior in my opinion :P
I have seen this throughout the years and few sketches have won because they are shadowed by flash entries. Not that I'm against, but rather give each category a respectful position. Best handmade character and best flash character would fit better rather than both in one sole category but that's my opinion.

Also about stories, lazy to read those. I read the first part and most were too rigid and emotionless, not my type sorry.

@DeathGuard: Asuka is right, art is art. If we have a separate division for flash and sketch, then someone would want a division for sketch and coloured sketch or even a separate painting division. Lol it is either you know how to create flash art or you are good with story writing. That is it xD

So, Taro is getting a deck adjustment huh? That is good to hear. And how do you people know so much information? I had no clue Taro's deck was made so long ago. Why not release him then? o.o

What would u rathe look at ? A dull grey looking picture Or a. Fully colored animated character

It gives traditional artists less of a chance of winning


@ Flash and sketch are two totally different mediums and deserve to be seperate a sketch no matter if its colored is still a sketch

had exams so i couldnt participate in the char story but i love the idea

If you are not going to read the story then don't even bother voting for them. People put a lot of thought and hard work into them, just voting them at random is not fair to the people that put the effort into them.

Just look at its position in the character list, hes between Pirate and Ogre Mage (aka fire klunk). Characters entered into the data are assigned a value even if they are not released they remain there until they get released.

@Cyberdoom5: You got my point! Thanks someone did. Majority loves colored drawings/paintings rather than dull grey paintings.
It gives some type of "old" impression to sketches, that's why I'm asking for separate divisions.
@JMagician: You know it shouldn't be that way right? Being obliged to flash to be chosen, seems like it ruins the whole purpose of this contest.
@TheSage: my vote was random but I know who got it, Mondez and since his story isn't bad neither good, it really doesn't matters.

But in reality, many types of art exist and are still categorized as the same thing. Besides, we have 2 hand sketches in the final entries as well, so it's not just flash ruled.

@Asuka: I never implied it was flash ruled, I said flash entries shadowed sketch entries in the voting, and it is happening right now. Just giving my opinion, doesn't means you guys have to acknowledge my opinion.

@TheSage: Oh, is that so?!? That is cool, I didn't know the numbers had meaning like that. Thanks for the added knowledge!

@DeathGuard: It doesn't ruin the purpose of this contest, it ruins the purpose of traditional art. Some people are skillful with their hands holding a pencil and a paper and others are skillful with technology at their disposal. Living in a technological advancing world, we are obviously going to lean towards the techno "flash" art. It just looks better.

@Asuka: Flash rules :P It is going to win for sure. You have to be a very good pencil artist to make it in the poll though.

Sum it up like this Asuka

Do you really think the hand drawn entries have any chance of winning against the flashes entries

It isn't fair for those hi spent hours or in my case months planning and drawing

To not have an equal chance at winning as those who flashed there's

And if any of them are like dage it took little to no effort
