Legendary AK!!!


In the Infernal War there were only NPCs for certain level ranges. I'm suggesting NPCs for each level up to 40. You will always fight a higher level NPC if you don't get a human. This is so you can't just farm them for faster wins if they have a good chance of beating you

That could work if the build on the NPC changed every single time you fought them. Otherwise people will eventually find out through trial and error what they are weak against, change their build to exploit that weakness, and then use them as punching bags.

I was able to do this with my level 11 alt against the level 20 Junker sometime ago and that NPC had a 9 level advantage over my alt.

I go away for 6 months and come back to find many new things, but many familiar irritations...

I 100% agree with these posts that complain about the length of time it takes to even find a battle. It was bad enough prior to the exile vs legion change, but now it's even worse. Why cut the very small pool of available players in half ??? Just because of this war? You guys have your priorities in the wrong place as usual. I remember when 3 servers were going...now you're lucky at times to get 700 in 1 server. So yeah, it makes perfect ED sense that you would pizz everyone off because of this "critical" component... The war is supposed to be something FUN...a distraction...not a new battle system. And btw, the last 2 days have NOT BEEN FUN.

In my experience, the longer it takes to find a battle, the more likely it is for me to get a "battle failed to start". Why so many battle fails ? I had this problem 6 months ago and it is perhaps worse now than it was. How can you protect all these players from 2v1 cremations ??? Oh yeah, not a problem for 1v1, but you could care less about 2v2...how could I forget such critical
bigotry...

I just went to go fight some Mechachilids ( something I hate doing ) and I see 4 others there farming on them, are there too few Legions playing?

Hopefully you will all stop using those fast builds that just affect evryones gameplay bringing the feeling evryone is complaing for.If you see at this in a constructive way now winning is much more important than being fast and many players may appriciate this.

^ True. But that means tank builds with IA and still doesnt fix long waits. It'll only drive away more players

Build copying has been happening since alpha so if you think about it all the phases = build copying.

But yeah I agree with what he is saying especially since we have a very small player base when they put this into play.

Agreed, but you can customize all your weapon stats now. So if you think about it Omega=worse build copying :P

Let's try and formulate a solution. Personally im sticking with my faction idea. I don't like the NPC idea because it leaves the door open to too much abuse and it's not enjoyable to fight NPC's.

judging by the last page and the fact literally like all but two of thaddiemac X's posts were edited to not contain anything whatsoever I'm gonna go out on a limb and say
he started cussing people who had a different opinion than his and beastmo? just curious... even so here's the easiest way to look at his insults. It takes more brains to admit
to someone you might be wrong or to speak in a way to support your idea but it barely takes any IQ at all to blabber on insulting people like a sailor. >> just tossing that info

On the topic of the fights... once again there's nothing wrong with the new battle system a lot of it's just people getting butt hurt cause they can't spam battles as fast as they use to
Sure if they can tweak it to where it's like this and fights go in that fast then great! do it! now! but seriously the release was barely a 2-3 days ago give them some time to brainstorm/
test potential tweak / fixes! I would rather them take there time and fix it right then fix it with a band-aid that comes off when it's most important that it stay on! ( the war in this case )

And build copying? seen it, hate it, despise people who do it, but I don't think build copying will really matter much especially when win% is more important than win#.

As I said it before anything that affect your ability to get into pvp Battles on epic duel is the equal of a human getting a couple of clogged arteries. I say this because epic duel is mainly a PVP game unlike AQ AQW etc.

Remember while the PVP system was build for some sort of balance it was also made so we could FIND MATCHES QUICKLY!

I dont think the staff even care anymore. Best war ever /sarcasm I hate this game D:<!"

    i think this would have worked if we had a lot of players but we have not when i came on today there was only 390 players so you have to wait for a fight and if you do get a fight its the same players all the time did not enjoy the game at all but it was a good idea so i tried 2/2
    got a fight and 3/35 and one 32 not fair did not try the jugg.
    so is there an answer to this i don't no all i know is the 1/1 i played i did not enjoy as same players all the time very boring and the 2/2 was very unbalanced

    ^ It is very simple, reverse the change.
    You already saw what it caused, it is game-breaking with such a small player-base.

    The idea itself is not bad, but you need to have a big player base to actually make it work.

    @ zeph

    More like an equal amount of exile's and legion members. It won't do any good to have a big player base if you have more exiles then legion members or visa versa.

    But on the flip side I can see a positive from this.

    The 2 vs 2 leaderboard can't be cheated anymore since we no longer can fight our own faction members since in the past many factions if they had to go against each other they would run.

    yeah the faction "free" wins was awful, same with friends ... i remember when someone was on the leaderboards asked his/her friend to leave (my partner) and next battle he asked me to leave, it's ridicoulous .And sorry for my English, while i like it i'm not to good at it :P

    Epic's size was just expanded. 909 players right now, I think the cap is 1,000 or back to 1,200 like it was before and the cap is 900 (+/-). One of the ways to deal with the issue, really.

    i agree whit mother exiles should be equal to legions in numbers, we obiusly cant know how many exiles and legions are online in the server, but this would still help

    and i think we need some npc in 2v2 and jugg

    If it were that simple we would do it. Technically it would be trivial, but the mechanics of the upcoming war make it a very poor solution, and will probably only be done as a last resort.

    You will be fighting for direct control of the map you are on for your alignment. If you were to match with people of your own alignment, then you just net zero benefit (or worse). Additionally, you might be inclined to ask the person to throw the match (especially in a 2v2 with, say, 3 Exiles) so that you can accelerate your control of a point. This could essentially bring in a new form of dummying for fast alignment wins.

    They are nearly even, last time I checked it looked about 55% to 45% (won't say which is which), but oddly enough it differed by level (in other words, there were more Exiles at level X, but more Legion at level Y).

    If er Mother is exile, well I think ill stick to exile. No need to get my butt kicked twice :PP btw this is just to buff the core right? Gosh this is actually kinda annoying I was on at reset yesterday there was like no battles for like 10 minutes. D: Please fix .

    Rabble this is why I suggested switching it to faction controlled areas. You fight against people who aren't in your faction only. This still works with the 2v2 issue discussed. You can make it so there are a few areas being fought over at once and if your faction controls an area you get a bonus and if your alignment controls the most areas you get a bonus as well. Notice how I said that there would only be a few areas to fight over. This means that there would both be faction vs faction and alignment vs alignment competition.

    This does solve one problem, which is matching speed. But we want the conflict to be Exile vs. Legion, not an everyone-out-for-themselves faction free-for-all like the current flag system is.

    We want factions of the same alignment to work together, not clash.

    EDIT: To be clear, I'm not dismissing the problem being brought up, just highlighting that there is a specific goal we're aiming for, and Exile vs. Legion matching is an important part of that goal. Are there problems that need addressing from the change? Sure. Are they solvable without reverting the system? I personally think so.
