I have posted, and have decided to use an instance of Scything Exhalation within Cellar after all. Too good an opportunity to do so, really, given the positioning of the targets. That said, I shall paraphrase what it does from Kieran's bio: The spell creates a 'spray' or 'conical' effect spreading from Kieran in the direction indicated, in this case being roughly a midpoint between Meoden and Is'ira. This spray alters the air pressure by creating a very low-pressure zone around pockets of densely concentrated high pressure fronts, which can roughly correspond to blade and needle like formations for the purposes of injury. The high pressure forms wind up doing a mix of crushing and cutting flesh, opening ragged wounds which the low pressure exacerbates significantly. Think exposure to near vacuum, so the injury ruptures outwards. There are dozens of these forms within a stream at any given heartbeat, but the key is that these forms are very, very small and with no real substance. Also, given the area of a stream, dozens still leaves quite the gaps between individual high pressure forms. Gaps are larger the more distant the stream is from its origin point, to boot, which gives it a finite range even without air currents acting contrary to the effect. In short: It is very easy for Meoden in particular to come out relatively unscathed, possibly even to the point of not even noticing. I admit that readily. Is'ira, however...well, I'll leave that to Tdub.
