Prelude: The Invasion A man, NECROSIS, watches the starless sky though his eyes were sewn shut. Below him were countless skeletal soldiers all in rusted iron armor waiting for an order to come out of the man's sewn mouth. A skeletal soldier, MESSENGER, wearing a leather cap with a bag strung around its bony soldier rushed to the figure and bowed. MESSENGER: My lord... the soldiers are prepped for the first wave of invasion. NECROSIS turns his head towards the messenger and turns back to the sky. NECROSIS: I guess it is time and besides I can feel that the dimensions are starting to shift since she, HENRIETTA, is following my trail of decay that I have laid out for her. The soldiers know what to do, but they must make haste, time is short. With the wave of the NECROSIS's hand the soldier started march and the army split into two groups for in front of them were two portals each heading into different dimensions. The man turns his head once again at the messenger. NECROSIS: Go and find my master Montague Dezgardo who seems to be stuck in a place called "Darkovia" and tell him this: The dead have started march. The scepter of the hero shall fall and the true face will be revealed. MESSENGER: *bows his bony head* Yes my master it shall be done. The MESSENGER heads into the crowd of the marching soldiers heading to a portal that harbored a soul known as the Oversoul. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INT. NULGATH'S PALACE(OS) - EVENING A large demon, NULGATH, sits upon a throne of skulls. NEESHA, a woman showing much skin rushes towards him and kneels herself before him. NEESHA: Master, an army of undead have started to invade through the Oblivion gateway. It cannot be that fool Dage for he cannot transcend himself into this world because he still has our old world to try and rule. The necromancers of this world would be fools if they have decided to go against you, Master. The Arch-demon did not flinch at the news presented by his Apprentice. He throws something at his apprentices feet. It was a skeleton wearing dark leather armor and in its hands were daggers encrusted with NULGATH's blood. NEESHA: Master?! NULGATH: It is a first in all my years that an undead has been able to injure me, but these are the first whose souls I could not consume. This one fought as if he were alive and afraid to die compared to the ones that did not fear death. I suspect that this invasion is being carried out by no means an ordinary Lich or Dage, but a powerful caster that can manipulate souls freely. NULGATH pulls himself from his chair and climbs down from his throne. He places his hand on his apprentice's shoulder. NULGATH: Let's go NEESHA for I wish to meet the one that would foolishly deny me my meals. (NEESHA grinned so wide that her sharp teeth all shown from ear to ear.) NEESHA: Yes, Master. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INT. BATTLEON SQUARE(AQW) - MORNING The HERO awakes from his sleep. HERO: Morning Battleon! I wonder how beautiful today is without Drakath ruining things for everyone with his Chaos. The HERO pulls the blinds of his windows up only to see the sky dark, trees on fire, villagers running away from the undead, Cysero waving his hand at the hero, and ARTIX slaying the undead as usual. HERO: Right... back to bed! Pulling the covers over his head. The HERO went back to sleep as if he didn't see the scene outside. In the Square of Battleon, WARLIC and ARTIX are busy defending themselves against the undead. An undead wielding a great-sword charges at ARTIX only to be blasted back by WARLIC. WARLIC: This is was unpredictable! Did Drakath or Dage initiate an attack? These undead are much more versatile than the Legion or the Chaos. ARTIX swung his great golden axe, but was blocked by shield wielding undead. An undead soldier leaped up from behind the shield holder in an attempt of a surprise attack, but was hit by a beam of light emitted from ARTIX's hand. ARTIX: I agree! Something is not right! When I see the undead I have the need to slay all evil, but I don't see them as evil. WARLIC: That is very worrisome hearing that from you. An undead soldier erupted from the ground carrying two rusted blades came to strike ARTIX and WARLIC, but was launched back by a ball of purple energy. DRAKATH came swooping down from the sky, striking all the undead in the square down by smashing down towards the ground and bathing Square in purple Chaos energy. ARTIX/WARLIC: DRAKATH?! DRAKATH grinned as he saw shock written on ARTIX's and WARLIC's faces, but frowned when the undead he struck down started to move. DRAKATH: Hold tight paladin and mage! Flexing his wings, DRAKATH swung his sword in the air and the purple energy that bathed the town came raining down and struck the undead in a chaotic pattern. All the undead in the square exploded from the influx of Chaos energy that built up inside their bodies. DRAKATH kneeled down as if he was tired out from the attack he initiated. ARTIX: DRAKATH! What are you doing here?! Did you initiate this attack? DRAKATH frowned from ARTIX'S accusation. DRAKATH: Don't be a fool, paladin. As much as I have the pleasure of bringing Chaos to the world, it seems that Chaos was brought down upon my own doorstep. WARLIC: Explain what happened. DRAKATH: An influx of dark energy built up from the Oblivion Gateway that Nulgath escaped in. Undead soldiers spewed out from the gate in massive numbers. I of course thought that NULGATH was making a return with a new army, but I was wrong. I was overwhelmed by what I thought was a Lich, but it was something much more. DRAKATH stood pulling himself up using his sword. DRAKATH: I came to warn you that this scuffle here is just the beginning because I sense that whatever is beyond that gate is something that I hate to admit is above the powers of Chaos itself. WARLIC: Why would you warn us? DRAKATH: Because... I need your assistance. The HERO wakes up and stretches his arms. HERO: I had the worst dream, but I think everything should be okay. Pulling the blinds up, the HERO is welcomed by a disturbing scene of the bodies of skeletons littering the square, Cysero waving his hand at the hero, ARTIX and WARLIC standing outside with DRAKATH who turned his head towards the hero. HERO: And I thought today was going to turn out swell.
