Hello everyone, I`m Balu and on behalf of the entire OverSoul forum moderation team, I`d like to welcome you to the Second PvP Elemental Tournament! :o \o/
What is it again? Well, we thought it might be a nice idea to hold a PvP tournament on the forums in the spirit of fun and sportsmanship. So, carefully read all the information below before deciding to post and participate!
GENERAL TOURNAMENT RULES AND GUIDELINES
PvP group type tournament. Duel invitation only. Meaning that the players will be divided in groups and will have to challenge each other via the "Duel" option for each fight, one after the other.
Each player will have to go up against the rest of the players in their group.
Best of four matches for each individual duel. Besting an opponent by having the most matches won in a duel means one point received. The player with the most points from each group advances in the next tournament stage. Regarding each duel, if after four matches the score is tied, the matches will continue until one of the two players pulls ahead and gets a point in the overall group standings. If two players in a group are tied with the same amounts of points based on the duels they won, they will have to fight once again (best out of four matches advances to the next round).
Duelists must use only characters of the element the tournament`s theme is.
No level restrictions. Duelists can use any level character. (Disclaimer: Participating in the tournament could mean having to face a level 20 opponent, so be prepared!).
No card customization restrictions. Duelists can use any CC cards they have at their disposal.
96 hour as in four days period for players to sign up, starting from the time stamp shown in the first post of the sign-up thread.
After the 96 hour sign-up period the thread will be locked and you can`t sign up anymore.
For a valid sign-up, players must make a post including their ingame name.
A link to a Google docs sheet will be posted in the tournament discussion thread. The document will show each tournament player group as in who duels who. The players can then begin to coordinate with one another and start dueling. All groups are random, meaning that it doesn`t matter when you post in the sign-up thread, you can get any opponent.
In the discussion thread, players must post evidence of their victories in the form of a screenshot taken upon winning a duel (Please read this if you don`t know how to take a screenshot and upload it to a site).
After the tournament has officially begun and all players know their opponents, there is a 48 hour time frame for the duelists to show up and fight. Failing to do this, one or both will get an instant loss as in -1 points in their group overall standings.
Since this is a Forum Based Tournament, the winner will not be getting any recognition or perks ingame! Just bragging right on the forum. :-)
All Artix Entertainment Forum Rules and Oversoul General Discussion Forum Rules apply in the tournament forum threads.
This tournament`s element is Shadow. So get ready to feel the terror sapping through your veins like a well placed poison attack, because the forums will be engulfed in Shadows! :D
