Minigames

Mobius

[RSR]

Runesweeper

Location: /join cornelis

NPC to talk to: Hodan

Requirements: Complete the previous quests from Hodan.

Tips/How to play: This minigame is just like the classic microsoft game Minesweeper. You do not need to use the right click for this one, so you will only need to use the left. This is a game of chance, so you will obviously not know where the mines are in the minigame. Simply click the tiles to uncover them and have your luck of not getting the mines. The tip is, when there are isolated tiles, click them because they are the ones that have the mines in it. Uncover everything in this minigame to win.

Runix Cube

[RCE]

Location: /join Mobius

NPC to talk to: Renn or Zio

Requirements: Complete the previous quests from Anise in Cornelis

Tips/How to play: For this minigame you will have to drag the tiles to match the other corresponding tiles. Drag them carefully with your mouse and try not to leave the tile in one place unless it is matching with the other. If you can't solve it, then theres always the solve button to help you complete the quest right away.

Dwarfhold

Mining Cart

[MCT]

Location: /join dwarfhold

NPC to talk to: Lister

Requirements: Complete the previous quests in the Dwarfhold storyline.

Tips/How to play: You will only need to use the mouse in this game. Aim your mouse at the right of the screen to go faster as the gauge is shown on the top right of the screen, and click on the screen to jump over obstacles, collect gems as much as possible and jump over broken tracks. Do not slow down in this minigame, or else, you will fall off the track or hit the obstacle. If done so, you will lose all the gems that you have collected.

Rewards: Once you have obtained 30 gems, turn it in for the quest "Whats mine is yours" to earn 1100 Rep. This is a daily quest.

Rock Roc Minigame

[RRM]

Location: /join vath

NPC to talk to: None. Walk up all the way to the stairs to the sunlight.

Requirements: Complete all of Mick Guyvers quests in /join dwarfprison

Tips/How to play: The controls for this minigame is only the mouse. Use the Left Mouse button to shoot fireballs, holding the left mouse button will charge for a powerful attack and moving the mouse will move Stalagbite. Shoot fireballs at the Rock Roc, while his hp goes down. Avoid while the Rock Roc launches rocks at you so you won't lose HP. To avoid it, shoot fireballs at it or dodge it. While you charge your attack, quickly go near the Rock Roc and let go of the left mouse button to make Rock Roc's HP go down faster. When near, you are most likely gonna lose hp when the rocks hit you. Once defeated for the first time, the cutscene will show once you click the button "Continue". Have fun playing the minigame and get the highest score as you can. Don't worry, the score isn't a requirement for the storyline.

Yokai

DragonKoi Tournament Matches

[DTM]

Location: /join dragonkoi or /join dragonkoi-z (must defeat the opponents in the dragonkoi area first)

NPC to talk to: None

Requirements: Go to /join yokaiboat and defeat all the Kappas in each area.

Tips/How to play: Not the hardest minigame unless you are low in level. All you have to do is to defeat the monsters in 6 rounds in dragonkoi. They deal very low damage and their HP is really low. Defeat them in the round and move on to the next one. If you defeat them all then you will unlock the dragonkoi-z area.

The DragonKoi-Z area is almost the same as before, but you fight more than one monster in each round depending on the difficulties. If you like farming reputation there, accept the quest from the announcer and enter one of the three arenas.

Rewards:

100 Reputation from Pockey Challenge
150 Reputation from Ninja Challenge
300 Reputation from Best Challenge

Mythsong

/Dance Evolution

[DEN]

Location: /join beehive

NPC to talk to: Great Godfather of Souls

Requirements: Complete the previous quests from the Great Godfather of Souls

Tips/How to play: There are 3 difficulties in this minigame. The difficulties are normal, hard and extreme. The higher the difficulty, the more arrows will pop up and they go faster. You will have to use all the arrow keys for this. Press the arrow keys when one of the arrows hits the top of the screen to score points. Hit them, you will score them and your gauge will go up. If you miss, then the gauge falls down. For the scores, A miss earns you nothing, sweet earns you 25 points, rockin earns you 50 points, and epic earns you a big 100. In order to accomplish this minigame, fill up the meter gauge as high as possible for the highest score. The Green Gauge indicates that you are passing the minigame, while the Red Gauge indicates that you are failing the minigame. For difficulties normal and hard, you will have to pass the halfway mark to complete. For extreme, your score needs to be over 75% of the gauge, meaning that your fingers need to be quick for this difficulty. If you don't, then bad luck.

Rewards: If you finish extreme, there is a small bonus, which is the ticklish zorbo ticket, which may be used to turn in for the non mem color custom blade or the member pet.

Arcangrove

Natatorium Statues

[NSS]

Location: /join natatorium

NPC to talk to: None

Requirements: Complete the previous quests of Arcangrove

Tips/How to play: In the area you will find statues with orange shells. This means that when you press one of them, the water pressure makes them move, and you will have to quickly move to the other shells as well after you have stepped the shells. If you failed in the minigame, click restart on the top right of the screen.

Left side: Ignore the shell on the right. Step on the shell on the bottom, then step on the shell on the left then move to the top to make the statue move to the panel.

Middle: This one can be a bit tricky. Go to the left side of the area and step on the 1st shell on that side. Then step on the right then quickly move to the right side and step on the 2nd shell, and when the statue goes down then moves right, go on the 1st shell near it to the panel.

Right: This ones the trickiest part. Step on the bottom shell, then go to the one above that makes it move to the other shell on its left. Stay there for a while and once it goes down, quickly move to the switch on the right to make it go to the panel.

Sealed Gate of Gilead

[SGG]

Location: /join gilead

NPC to talk to: None

Requirements: Complete the previous quests of Arcangrove

Tips/How to play: This minigame is easy, but can be sometimes tricky, only if all the runes are jumbled up. Go to the gate, and click show to see the symbols and go to one of the areas which show the same colored runes. You have to click them in reversed order, and it has to be the same colored rune shown from the gate. Memorize them then click on the runes in the area to open the gate and then proceed.

Mafic Bridge

[MAB]

Location: /join mafic

NPC to talk to: None

Requirements: Complete the previous quests of Arcangrove

Tips/How to play: First off, you enter the cave, and you will see 5 other caves. The pink orb shows the bridge status. Go in the fifth cave of the area, and click the green orb then the blue one. After that, go in the second cave and click the blue orb then the green orb. Check the bridge status, you should see that all the volcanoes have lowered so you can go across its bridge, going all the way to the Mafic Dragon.

Sandsea

NPC to talk to: Sek Duat

Requirements: Complete the previous quests from Zhoom in the area.

Tips/How to play: Carpet Chase is a simple minigame. You will have to use the up and down arrow keys to avoid the rocks. You will need to keep up the pace while chasing Sek Duat. If you hit one of the rocks, regardless of the time limit, don't worry, you won't lose. Once you succeed in the race, the cutscene will show up.

Bloodtusk

Samba Dance Evolution!

[SDE]

Location: /join bloodtusk

NPC to talk to: Samba

Requirements: None

Tips/How to play: This minigame has the same controls as the /Dance Evolution from Great Godfather of Souls. While the arrows reach the top of the screen, press one of the corresponding arrow keys to score. Remember that a miss earns you 0 points, sweet earns you 25, rockin earns you 50 and epic earns you 100 points. Whats different about this minigame is that it has no difficulty.

Rewards: When you complete the minigame, there is a small bonus, and that means you have unlocked the Samba emote, but its member only.

DoomWood

Necro Tower Elevator

[NTE]

Location: /join necrotower

NPC to talk to: None. Go pass the room of books to start the minigame.

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quests from the eyeball NPC.

Tips/How to play: This minigame has 10 levels, you will need to use the mouse to control the skeleton and move it to the lever to move on to the next level. The higher the level, the harder it gets. Avoid the pit falls in this one, because if you move to the wrong path, then you will fall in the pit and it is game over and you will have to start again. For the higher levels, there are red switches on the floors for the skeleton to open the doors for the other skeleton to pass.

Level 1:

Walk down to the bottom, walk across the bottom and move up to the lever.

Level 2:

Get a skeleton to step on the red button to open the door. Click on the skeleton to move it all the way to the lever.

Level 3:

Get each of the two skeletons to move to one on the switches on both sides of the level and then let the skeleton in the middle proceed to the switch.

Level 4:

This ones going to be the same as before but you can't walk up to it right away because you may fall into the pit. To avoid the pit falls, for the left, stick to the wall and move left to the switch, for the right, stick to the wall then to the torch as well and move to the switch. After that, move the skeleton to the lever.

Level 5:

This ones a lot tricky. The correct button to open the door is the middle. Move the skeleton surrounded by the switches to the middle one on the top, but avoid falling in the holes. Do not step on the whole of the middle button, or else you will fall. Just click underneath the middle button to not fall in then move the skeleton on the left to the lever. Problem solved.

Level 6:

Level 6 is pretty easy, just walk up to the lever and you will not experience pit falls.

Level 7:

Move the skeleton to one of the switches then move the other skeleton to pass through the area. After that, click the skeleton that is on the switch again and move down then right to the switch, then let it proceed. Click the skeleton again and move down, move right then up to the switch. The other skeleton will press the switch that opens the door. Make all your way to the lever to move on.

Level 8:

This one is full of doors and switches. No traps or anything. The skeleton on the first row must be on the 1st switch, the skeleton on the 2nd goes to the last switch and the 3rd one goes to the 2nd switch. Move the skeleton in the last row all the way to the lever with the open paths to move on to the next level.

Level 9:

Another tricky stage, move the skeleton to the left side of the screen to the left of the middle button to avoid falling in. Then move the skeleton in the maze to go through the path. Then carefully go down off the buttons and move to the last switch on the third row then let the other skeleton proceed. Move to the left button of the last row then move the other skeleton. Move to the 3rd row and hit the 3rd button, but avoid falling in. Then move to the lever to move on to the final level.

Level 10:

This is one of the toughest levels that you will face. There are no walls and buttons, but there are a lot of pit falls. The correct path to the lever is to move up to the top, move left and stop to the left window on the right side. Move left diagonally and stop near that rock, then move right a bit, then move left and stop near the stone. Move up to the rocks and walk across them and stop. Move down to the pile of rocks and move left diagonally then walk up all the way to the lever to finish the final level.

Here is the picture of the path to the lever: http://defensorsofaqw.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/level-10.png

If you are having trouble in the higher levels, you should watch this video.

A couple of things I've picked up on:

  • Firstly, the line-break tags aren't being spaced correctly in a few areas. A lot of it is spaced correctly, but there are a few which you will need to space correctly. Here is the correct format:
    TEXT

    [hr]
    TEXT

  • Another thing is that you are currently using the Rare image-tags from the Wiki, as these mini-games aren't actually "rare", I believe you should change them to the Seasonal image tags:

    http://aqwwiki.wdfiles.com/local--files/image-tags/seasonallarge.png

    http://aqwwiki.wdfiles.com/local--files/image-tags/seasonalsmall.png

  • Lastly, at the moment, the titles of your sections are all a bit messy -- I don't really know what's going on, where each section starts and where they end. For example, one section opens with the following 3 titles: "Storyline Minigames", "Mobius" and "Runesweeper". For starters, I don't believe the "Storyline Minigames" title is needed. I then feel that you could perhaps add colors to group titles as well, to help show where a new section starts. Just something to think about, as how you format it is up to you.

Other than that, all the information appears to be up to ate and correct, so it's just a matter of adding all the other mini-games. For your reference, every mini-game in AQWorlds is listed here, if you didn't know about that list.

You're getting closer and closer towards approval.

Somewhere around "The Memory Challenge" the bold code is broken, so that will need to be fixed.

In the credits, "11/7/2012: Added Pick the Lock and the Mogloween Section.\" has an extra, unnecessary symbol.

Lastly, for some reason, I still find it odd that the title of the location isn't centered, the title of the mini-game is centered, and then the legend/seasonal/rare images are not centered. Personally, to make it read better, I feel that they should be universal: either all three centered or none of them centered to make it read better. At the moment, it's hard to know where to look.
