For a shadow character its pretty useful since you don't have to worry about health loss. @Gorillo Titan: You don't have to worry about health loss with 500-Attacks either, and 500-Attacks can be boosted with Empower. That being said, it does have the benefit over two 500-Attacks of making room for an extra card in your hand, but its 125% energy efficiency is unimpressive considering Shadow character's other options, particularly Poison which is 200% efficiency (210% CC'd), Defend which is 167% efficiency (172% CC'd), and Mark of Death which is 150% efficiency (158% CC'd), so early on I'd rather discard cards like Shadowfire and 500-Attacks (unless I can Empower) to make way for more efficient cards. When the end is near and I'm confident enough not to worry about preserving an advantage then I'll happily smack away though. quote:
In my opinion shadowfire is the legendary card for shadows like retribution. It's true that ShadowFire is currently Legendary-only, but Retribution isn't as it comes with Pactonal Captain which is a Master and can also be CC'd when ShadowFire can't. Light characters' Legendary-only card is Greater Heal, which is significantly better than ShadowFire with its instant 200% efficiency. It's also of note that Retribution passes through counters and ShadowFire does not. quote:
I'm hoping for 3 MoD in VKs legendary deck I mean I like Poison but MoD is much better IMO. @Axel: It depends in part on whether there's time for Poison to run its course, but if there's time for it to then it does 50% more per energy than Mark of Death. That being the case, I prefer having as many Poisons as possible early so that I can get the full extent of the damage of as many of them as possible and then swing in for the finish with attack cards. I generally use Marks whenever I can get them, but I would rather open with Poison for sure. I do prefer Mark of Death to Poison at lower levels though since there's less time. EDIT: Jop ninja'd me again
