This would be a new skill for BMs it would behave similar to bludgeon damage% wise maybe weaker, but would also drained some of the enemies ep points.
Think its a good idea? Discuss why or why not. Have anything to add to it, feel free.

As a suggestion, I think this skill is OK, but for balance, comparing a skill that uses damage and energy to a skill that uses only energy (like Static Grenade, Atom Smasher) would be very difficult to calculate. They would not be on the same scale.

I like the thought of it being a different skill, but yeah.

Call it Nuclear Bludgeon, it would be there new super move instead of super charge, it does insanely high damage for a reasonable amount of energy, with a 5% chance to stun

2 stun moves in a class wouldn't be balanced. Insanely high damage for reasonable damage? Not happening for a super move. They have to be a fair trade of high energy for high damage. I do like your name suggestion though.

@Depressed Void, how would you suggest to balance it then?

5% is like a hail mary shot, like the 3% aux stun, i think it should be a percentage thing, like 150% extra damage, maxed takes 60 energy

Edit, Massacre is a percentage thing, so lets make this more damage, more energy

remove the stun chance, it still sounds very effective

If you make it damage, it becomes an attack skill. If you make it change energy, it becomes an energy skill. Both attack skills and energy skills are categories, and skills within these categories need to be balanced with each other, else a skill has an advantage/disadvantage in battle.

If you balance Atom Bludgeon with energy skills, OK, now it is as good as the other energy skills. Then if you balance it with attack skills, OK, now it is as good as the other attack skills. What you cannot do is balance attack skills with energy skills: it does not make any sense. Health and energy are 2 separate parts of the game, and comparing them is trivial.

It is best if you make Atom Bludgeon belong to only 1 category (attack/damage, stat, health, energy, stun, ultimate, rage) rather than make it cover multiple categories, because then it becomes a skill "outside of categories", and is never clearly balanced with any other skill fairly.

So, if you want to make it purely energy or purely damage, that is the most preferred option.

The way I see it would be I'd like to try and attempt to make it a skill in between attack and energy skills. It would do damage, while taking away energy (not returning any, just to be specific)

It would relate damage and energy like this.

Atom Bludgeon
Level 1: Ignores 10%/Drains 10 ep points
Level 2: Ignores 12%/Drains 12 ep points
Level 3: Ignores 14%/Drains 14 ep points
Level 4: Ignores 16%/Drains 16 ep points
Level 5: Ignores 18%/Drains 18 ep points
Level 6: Ignores 20%/Drains 20 ep points
Level 7: Ignores 22%/Drains 22 ep points
Level 8: Ignores 23%/Drains 23 ep points
Level 9: Ignores 24%/Drains 24 ep points
Level 10: Ignores 25%/Drains 25 ep points

Hello, you PM'd me to give feedback.

I would not call that a "way" to put damage and energy on the same scale, but it suggests a skill that does both. You can suggest that, but I still have no way to convert damage into energy.

Okay allow me to rephrase it then, I'm trying to create a skill that balances between an energy sapping skill and a % damage increase skill while still being fair. (This skill would cost energy to use)
