We understand that the tournament isn't perfect and for that we have Tournament Discussion Threads as well as Feedback Threads. As of now, all changes in the tournament are finalized unless stated by the Head Moderator. If you feel like something needs improvement, you're free to PM either me or Lord Beck. We will discuss it with the other ArchKnights and there might be a chance we'll change something before the tournament is live. Do not complain and whine on the sign up thread as that is not it's purpose. quote:
Regarding anyone who shares Igneous' reservations about the prospect of winning twice in a row without being quite so courteous as he to provide an explanation, I initially felt the same way before Skurge pointed out to me that to win two consecutive duels when the initiative alternates between the two players, you must win both with the initiative and without it, so although an odd number of duels indicates one player had an extra initiative, it does not indicate unfairness as an extra initiative has no bearing on how the match is won. As long as you win when you go first, you will not lose a match. If you lose after having gone first you must face that you have been bested since the first turn would be enough to win all else being equal. As Finnish the Phoenix has already explained, there is nothing "unfair" about the layout of this tournament. To advance in the match, you must win with the initiative and once without. There is nothing different about this except that it is best out of three as opposed to five. ~Skurge, ArchKnight OSGD
