What would it be?

Important:

---------Weapon-specific skills can be used on any weapon.

---------Field Medic is required.

---------The classic skill tree scheme is not required (1 stun skill, energy skills, 1 ultimate skill, etc...).

FIXED. This is one of mine. My skills are mostly Support-based and coordinate with Strength, so I guess that helps. I will usually cover using a buff like Defense Matrix or Energy Shield then barrage the enemy.

Grenadier, have ALL the grenades! :D Would make for some interesting combos.

Field Medic - Double Strike - EMP
Artillery Strike, Berserker, Static Grenade
Plasma Grenade - Stun Grenade - Energy Shield
Poison Grenade - Satellite Strike - Reflex Boost

This class would be really fun to use for me, and could be really strategic, with grenades for almost all scenarios. Artillery strike and satellite strike would be there because they just seem to fit. Artillery strike being good for support abuse, and satellite strike being good for regaining health, plus it doesn't have a specific weapon requirement like the other specials. And double strike and berserker for those who want to take a more offensive build, while using some of the grenades just occasionally for strategy.

Just realized I can't invest in every move, so I decided to specialize:

Field Medic - Plasma Bolt - Shadow Arts (3-10-4) (14)
Energy Parasite - Mark of Blood - Technician (8-6-3) (17)
Mineral Armor - Bludgeon - Toxic Grenade (2-1-0) (3)
Surgical Strike - Battery Backup - Overload (0-2-0) (2)

Plasma Bolt is my specialty move, but I have a few moves that will help out. Energy Parasite allows slow and gradual regeneration of energy, while Battery allows an immediate recharge. Shadow Arts and Mineral Armor provides a substantial reduction of damage, while Technician boosts Plasma Bolt and Robot attacks. Bludgeon provides a cheap and sweet option of boosted damage, and Mark of Blood allows Health regeneration.

Field Medic-Battery Backup-Smoke Screen
Energy Shield-Mark of Blood-Static Grenade
MultiShot-Reflex Boost-Maul
Bunker Buster-Surgical Strike-Plasma Cannon

Basically, I just changed the Bounty Hunter into a massive damage dealer. If you have a 5 focus tech build, you would be almost unstoppable. With Plasma Cannon AND Bunker Buster, no one would be able to survive your overwhelming damage, especially if you crit . This would be the perfect class, at least for me.

Yes, if you guys can customize your own class and then talk about it, that would help this thread out a lot.

I would just like to chime in that while I am still setting up what kind of Skill tree I think would be interesting to see you guys have all missed a vital part of the skill tree.

A skill tree needs an evolution path. Meaning Skill A leads to skill D and Skill F unlocks skills I and J

Field Medic - Smoke - Plasma Bolt
Stun Grenade - Mark of Blood - Technician
Multi Shot - Reflex Boost - Fire Scythe
Assimilation - Surgical Strike - Poison Grenade

Tech builds would have plenty of choice, albeit, with limited Energy which isn't an issue with alright damage output. Dex builds would work great too, as well as hybrid builds with use of Poison + Assimilation + SS combo (TLM, basically) with a debuff on top of it. Well, basically, a fair amount of builds could work with these skills - some more situational than others, but could work.

Class: Survivor

Weapon Type: Sword

Defense Matrix - Berserker - Artillery Strike

Description: These fighters were citizens neither from Exile or Legion alignment. They were those who were not banished with the Exiles, and had to learn to survive in the harsh world Baelius faced them against after the Exiles could no longer fight for their freedom. They have a fighting style of chop'n'drop, involving many melee attacks. Survivors are skilled blades men and have multiple skills on how to tire an enemy out.

This would also be a very fun class to use in my opinion, and would be pretty balanced.

Not much; I just use an image editing program (I use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro [Paint, GIMP, Photoshop all work]) and grab the skill icons from the wiki and drop them on a black background.

I would use a 4 focus tec and hp build or a str build.

Heal emp smoke
PA backup maul
Reflex MoB artillery
Plasma bolt surg venom grenade

For str

Heal bludg smoke
Maul assim zerker (energy primary)
Static charge MoB poison gren
Tecnitian massacre MA

Btw good idea, will help diversity. Try to limit one type of move and synergy tho.

Oh yeah, just a question guys: do you think that there will ever be an overpowered build or do you think that new builds can be made to counter any overpowered build?

By the way thanks for trying out custom skill trees, I really like these builds.

You mean assuming custom skill trees, or current ones?

If it's custom skill trees, I think the Bunker Buster Bounty somewhere up there looks pretty scary. Though I think a tech-sup 5 focus custom build with reflex boost and a good array of energy draining skills (like mine) might be able to handle it. Would be one tough battle though XD

For current ones, there are always counters - problem is often that the counters smell a lot like the build they're countering.

what could be interesting is a healer or buffer type class

field medic - shadow arts - static charge
death wish - defense matrix - plasma shield
EMP - mark of blood - self harm
surgical - overload - plasma grenade


you will notice I have made up 2 new skills: death wish (increases targets str, supp, dex, tech by 5 +1 per skill point) but makes them die in 3 turns

self harm (deal damage to targets energy only to regain 2x amount 3 turns later)

MOB and static charge will also benefit players looking for str builds
the combination of self harm and surgical will act well together
death wish will become useful towards later battle perhaps and work well in 2v2
2 stun attacks

Oi that death wish skill you made up is OP. Just apply it to your enemy then throw shields on your self.

if you are talking about uncountable builds... all you need is all skills to have synergy

medic - plasma bolt - plasma grenade
bunker - battery - emp
defense matrix - smoke - plasma armor (thing CH have)
surgical - MOB - toxic grenade

it would be quite easy here to make a high tech medium dex char and completly own everything

if they have low tech you just bolt and grenade them, if low def you smoke bunker, if they have low hp then poison grenade them, if they are str then smoke them, if they have powerful energy skills then use an emp. if they have really low def and really high str and hp then mob them and then attack

i could continue....

well i know a definitely OP str build with an energy sword, phys gun and phys meteors:

heal-bludg-smoke
zerker-MoB-maul
fireball-frenzy-adrenaline
static smash-atom smash/assim-surg


OP synergy.

This would be my skill tree if I ever wanted to do Strength.

I was considering some changes. I was going to put Bludgeon where Cheap Shot was, but I figured this: do I want more damage or more armour penetration? With the other skills that I had, I figured that I already had enough damage output, so I chose Cheap Shot in the event that I ever meet a tank. I plan to level up Cheap Shot, since it is very cheap on energy. I was also going to include Energy Parasite because it deals damage but... I figured that I should rely on faster more reliable energy gain with my own attack than wait for the enemy's energy to be sapped so Static Charge was my choice. Again, my best shields are Energy Shield and Defense Matrix because they are cheap and provide high coverage for a little bit of Support.
