Ok Field commander needs to be replaced by intimidate
Reasons for this: we have absolutely no counter against str based builds Most class we struggle against: tm 2nd most ch
Why i think it should be field commander being replaced: ok some might disagree on this but lets be honest the skill is outdated and useless now and tlms have been needing a debuff of some kind for a while.
I have extra points i dont use i just throw them on field commander cause its a open spot.
win chance for tlm against str based builds is low. given we have to counter against masive energy regains etc etc...
This would as well counter against tm's 2nd energy take skill maybe ( wow see a 2nd good outcome there)
and wow that would counter against mark (omg wow thats awesome.)
Plus it would incourage more wide spreaded different builds (omg wow again)
Also it would incourage players to try all the classes out (wow again O.O)

A counter is using defenses. What about getting smoke back instead of intimidate? Two classes already use intimidate. Two use malf. Only one uses smoke. How about it gets smoke back? It had it taken away because it was too powerful at the time, but since then the class has been nerfed. I would say give it smoke rather then intimidate.

i would say smoke yes but i know for fact it would be oped and a merc related class does not need a def or res debuff skill. So another opition is a half and half debuff similar to normal mercs def/res buff. But instead the half and half debuff reduces str and support. The skills would work half as good as intimidate and a weak version of what a support debuff would do. Energy cost not sure, turns usable not sure again. This is my thought and opinion is the ideal balance needed for tlm.
Either:
intimidate
or half and half support/intimidate debuff 50% as good as originial skill.
Btw saying high defense is a typical answer at which i tried. There should be more then just 1 counter to it.
hmm what about a half and half debuff for res and def that too would be a possible must need. <~~works half as good as mal and smoke (it ups at a slower rate then smoke and mal)

That's what the other classes have to do to counter it, that or just keep splashing damage out as hard and fast as they can. Or heal loop. Unless they're merc or BM, THEY can debuff the str. BHs can also combat str builds by making them smoked, which makes the enemy get blocked more. So smoke would still be a viable option to combating str builds and getting a useful debuff on top of the enemies' defenses and some skills. Smoke OP-ing TLM now I would see as difficult. The only skills locked to physical are artillery strike and stun grenade. The other skills would be maul and double strike, but those are both blockable, I'm pretty sure. The builds would be high dex/str builds, which BH are doing now.
